House votes to establish select committee on Benghazi
Fox News ^ | May 8, 2014 | Fox News/AP

The House voted Thursday to establish a select committee on Benghazi, formally launching a comprehensive and contentious investigation aimed at answering lingering questions about what happened before, during and after the terror attack that killed four Americans.

The House voted 232-186 to approve the panel. The vote breakdown was 225 Republicans and 7 Democrats in favor, with 186 Democrats voting against the measure.

The vote was never in doubt, as majority Republicans largely were united in support of the committee ever since House Speaker John Boehner called for it last week. Unclear is whether Democrats will boycott the investigation itself.

There are 6 GOP candidates running, but I’m not sure who gets the mantle of West’s leadership. Carl Domino has the most amount of money on the “R” side. Schlesinger is a carpetbagging RINO from CT who was Joe Lieberman’s opponent for the Senate in 2006 (the one where Republicans abandoned him to support Lieberman when he lost the Dem nomination).

Curiously, the freshman Dem incumbent, who won in a fluke (and under highly dubious circumstances), was so worried about his reelection that he put out feelers on switching parties to save his bacon.

The primary is in late August.

District 18:
Patrick Murphy (D)* - (Campaign Site)

Carl Domino (R) - Ex-State Rep., Businessman, ‘10 State Sen. Candidate & ‘12 State Rep. Candidate
Beverly Hires (R) - Nurse, Conservative Activist & ‘12 State Rep. Candidate
Brian Lara (R) - Software Developer
Alan Schlesinger (R) - Ex-Connecticut State Rep., Ex-Derby (CT) Mayor, Attorney & ‘06 US Sen. Candidate
Calvin Turnquest (R) - Ex-Tequesta City Councilman, Chemist & ‘12 State Rep. Candidate
Nick Wukoson (R) - Management Consultant & Ex-Police Officer

No need for that. Just have a fully fueled jet on standby to fly the uncooperative witnesses to Club Gitmo for a few days of sun and fun with their friends.

While there they can partake in prayers 5 times a day, eat a balanced Halal diet while waiting for their chance to be baptized...

thanks so much for the update. I’d love to see the D be one and done. It royally pisses me off that Allen lost.

Nice to see my congress critter doesn’t care about the deaths of four Americans in a terrorist attack.

The Libs I know are all worked up about this, all sputtering the same MSNBC lines.

“Doesn’t matter!!!”
“Flogging a dead horse!”
“ALL Presidents lie!”
“Old News!!”
Yada,yada,yada.

They flat out REFUSE to talk about the facts of the matter, they simply mock.

The TV has trained them well, it seems.

Yep they fall in lockstep with the party line from the leaders.

If one of those four murdered Americans were their relation they might feel differently but if they’re dyed-in-the-wool leftists probably not.

I hope they do.

I would say that Domino is the only candidate with a prayer in FL-18.

Amen...I hope they do too.

Just them talking about it means they’re not interested in the truth.
