House votes to establish select committee on Benghazi

The House voted Thursday to establish a select committee on Benghazi, formally launching a comprehensive and contentious investigation aimed at answering lingering questions about what happened before, during and after the terror attack that killed four Americans.

The House voted 232-186 to approve the panel. The vote breakdown was 225 Republicans and 7 Democrats in favor, with 186 Democrats voting against the measure.

The vote was never in doubt, as majority Republicans largely were united in support of the committee ever since House Speaker John Boehner called for it last week. Unclear is whether Democrats will boycott the investigation itself.

I made a comment in a related thread a few days ago that Gowdy should require every committee member’s commentary and/or question to be limited to 25 words or less.

Otherwise, we will again see the Dems grandstanding with their filibuster comments and questions.

This should be a good show but even if criminal activity is discovered the process will stop at the DOJ. So don't get real hopes up. If we get the Senate and keep the House it still will not have the power we need. But, 2016 is another matter. If we are lucky to get the Presidency and keep the Senate and House all hell can break loose. Dumping that communists Holder would open the track to jail time.

And then you investigate his successor for illegal orders from the boss.

“McCarthy.” Cummings tossed that grenade during House debate. It was a dud. And isn’t it grand how the lefties, who are so gracious with other people’s money, are now so concerned about $40 million spent so far on this investigation. The only time they care about spending is when it is for investigations of their gross malfeasance.

Have an aid record/log the first couple outbursts and let them slide. On the third, list in detail the previous outbursts and tell them that the next will carry a contempt charge of it’s own.
