When the Germans conquered Ukraine in WW2, the Ukrainians initially (for the most part) welcomed them as “civilized” (compared to the Russians) and liberators. The Ukrainians soon discovered their mistake: Their liberation was a matter of “cooperate in everything, or die.” Of course, when the Russians reconquered Ukraine, this was reversed: Now it was “cooperate in finding anyone who did not resist the Nazis, or die.” Now, anyone not immediately pro-Russian / cooperative was by default a “Nazi”. Almost 20% of the population did die, by far the largest % of any large country, in WW2.
FF to 2014: Some seem to claim any anti-Russian in Ukraine is a Nazi. This is just absurd. Most Ukrainians want to be free of Russian domination, and have little use for Nazis, either.
Are you actually that ignorant of the forces and impetus for Maidan? It goes a lot further back than 2013, has basically nothing to do with Nazis, and the attempts of the US to meddle were essentially insignificant in what would eventually transpire. Right Sector did contribute to the modest organization and discipline of some of the protests, and perhaps to the protests eventual success, but the basis of the protests was far more fundamental and powerful than a tiny group most Ukrainians dislike.
Now we can see why Putin is standing down, he has no need to conquer Ukraine, Putins bet is that Ukraine will destroy itself and he can walk in and create order as requested by the survivors.

1. How you explain the fact that the mass murder in Odessa is non-event in Western media?
2. How likely it is for Russia to buy the silence of the entire Western MSM sphere? Or MSM is covering up for the perp?
3. DOS is silent about this crime. How come, they are very silent, especially to blame someone. Again, why they are silent? Because of the too much of evidence?
4. Why is even blogosphere silenced? I know of at least one example, Twitter account Novorossiya2014 with over 14,000 followers was shut down because of reporting of Odessa crime that is not mentioned by MSM and DOS. Whom Twitter is protecting? The truth or the perps?

Like I have said, the only correct position to have is to root for neither side, and demand that the U.S. stay out of this: no more EU, French, Merkel/Obama pressers on Ukraine.

Actually, I have heard modern estimates of the famine death toll as about 3.2 million.
