House Speaker John Boehner explained to reporters Wednesday morning that he considers the select committee's investigation into the terrorist attacks in Benghazi a very serious matter.
“This is all about getting to the truth. This is not going to be a sideshow. This is not going to be a circus. This is a serious investigation,” Boehner said.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has demanded that, for the sake of fairness, the committee be evenly split between Republicans and Democrats.

With five ‘RAT clowns on the committee, it will be impossible to keep it from becoming a circus.

If he doesn’t want it to be a circus, he should refuse to seat any Rats because they will see their job to be nothing less than to run interference for the Obummer administration.
And, the GOP will allow them to make those assertions... they won't respond with anything at all.

Instead of taking the usual RINO defensive position, Boner should have made some tough statements about twenty months of Dim obstruction and refusal to supply relevant emails and other documents.
But that would take a leader and effective spokesman.

Tis goes way past partisanship. It was and is an international incident. Gowdy knows that.
the lib supporters, forget the personalities up there, are going to do whatever it is they always do.
No reason to ignore this. Gowdy has many years in, and he is after the truth, as are his supporters.
He is not going to allow a takeover of the proceedings.
The libs will look ridiculous arguing.

Yes, the ONLY way to help this NOT become a circus is for Boehner (and the House Republican leadership) to NOT be the ones selecting the members of the committee. That should be delegated to Trey Gowdy who would select based upon merit and background. Gowdy should also be given the authority to VETO the appointment of any DimocRAT clowns named for the sole purpose of disrupting and/or slowing down the proceedings.
