Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) has bested his primary challenger, beating back an onslaught of attacks from establishment Republicans.

The Associated Press has called the race for the iconoclastic Jones, who was leading Bush administration official Taylor Griffin (R) by 53 percent to 44 percent with 71 percent of precincts reporting. The win all but guarantees him an 11th term in the House in the heavily Republican district.

I'm happy that the immigration hardliner and Steve King ally has survived. It is hard to beat female incumbent and win with a guy who got set up with a $250,000 jury verdict.

I guess Bill Kristol will have to come out against amnesty again if he wants to co-opt the grassroots. Walter Jones' opponent was as bad as Renee Ellmers on immigration just more polite.

Meanwhile, congresswoman Ellmers won 58% of the vote in a primary despite openly prostituting herself and her district. congresswoman #reneeellmers won 58% of the vote in a primary despite openly prostituting herself and her district. The selfish lazy and ignorant Republican voters, whose world will explode if they miss 30 minutes of reality TV to do research, will get their own Special Ed election, as Ellmers faces Clay Aiken

Being female also helped.

Some Republican voters do buy the BS about legalization.

Apart from all her babbling Ellmers did say she wasn’t doing immigration this year. Aiken will win if she does amnesty.

That’s why Im glad Kathleen Peters and Lizbeth Benacquisto lost.

If Jolly or Clawson sell us out it is an easier removal.

Let Amnesty Girl and the poop-poker duke it out. I have no interest in that mud wrestle. In fact, let the Green Party win.
