That was a type of having his cake and eating it too.

It is my most sincere hope that he will seek the occasional, private counsel of Newt Gingrich on the exercise of Congressional Power and the political firestorm that is about to ensue.
This will be like the Clinton Impeachment.
But with 2014-level demonization.
Think about it. If the Democrats were only afraid of Benghazi embarrassing them, they would just give up. Obama has his second term. They wouldn’t be risking time in jail hiding e-mails if it was just to preclude some embarrassment. Hillary and Obama pulled some really bad stuff in Libya.....serious stuff. The Democrats are behaving this way because it’s big.
Obama has the “power” to not only destroy America but to take down the democrat party and destroy the two party system.

I would be willing to bet that the price of that appointment was to decline any future run for Speaker of the House by Congressman Gowdy - AND his endorsement of Speaker Boehner to continue in that role.
