A shocking video taped publicly by left-wing activists on the campus of Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum has provoked a storm of anger in Israel.
The video was taken in front of a monument commemorating Holocaust victims, and features an actress dressed as a prostitute calling herself “the Holocaust,” who says the Jewish nation should thank her for teaching it “how to round up Palestinians in concentration camps.”
Throughout her expletive-filled tirade the actress, who was flanked by a man who appeared to be a bodyguard, made obscene gestures and screamed at shocked members of the public who had come to pay their respects to victims of the Nazi Holocaust.
She continued to goad visitors, urging them to applaud “the Holocaust”, without which, she claimed, there would be no State of Israel or IDF. …

Well maybe she’s right in one way - if it wasn’t for the Holocaust that was so repugnant to the civilized world there wouldn’t have been an Israel. Even Russia voted for the Israeli state at the UN.
I don’t think so. The roots for a Jewish state go back to before the rise of the National Socialists. What makes it worse is to imply that the only way for the Jews to get their own land back is for some abomination to rise up in the world and slaughter them, which reflects extremely poorly on the rest of the world at large and not on Jews.
Well it’s what I’ve been taught by my family one member on my grandmother’s side was at Auschwitz. The idea of a Jewish state goes back to WW1, the Balfour declaration of 1917. During the Diaspora there were Jewish conclaves withing what Rome named Palestine. As an aside, there was no such thing as Palestinians before 1948. Finally, I did imply that. It was written about long before I was born.

As I remember, in 1947, the Palestinians were ordered to get out of the way by the Arab Armies so they could wipe out the Jews.

Actually they were originally from Jordan or Trans-Jordan. Jordan didn’t want them back after the 1948 Israeli war.

That’s not correct. Great Britain, which had the Mandate for Palestine, officially backed the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine long before the Holocaust. You’ve absorbed Muslim world revisionist claims, as has Obama.
