The winds of change are well and truly in the air.

I have been saying for 2 years this would happen, the treasonous media have denied it and now they will have no choice but to face up to the reality when UKIP finish in the top two at the European elections and quite probably the local elections held on the same day.

They are throwing mud like I have never seen before, the most disgusting outright bias you could imagine, but it is not working, Nigel Farage in particular is too popular and resonates too much with the average British citizen. We have simple had enough.

The talking heads seem to think this will go away in time for the general election next year, just like they said about these elections, they will be wrong and I think UKIP will do exceptionally well.

I have not lost hope that one day Nigel Farage will be our PM, not at the next election, but give it time, people are coming over at an alarming rate for the established parties. For me, he is the last hope, we are finished unless something changes soon. And I say that as someone who certainly has some disagreements with some of the things he believes.

I’ve been watching and really liking Nigel Farage and his relentless fight against the EU.

the treasonous media

If Farage gets in, you can start by subjecting the media to the same treatment that English patriots like Paul Weston have been subjected to.

David Cameron and the Tories have put on a show and pretense of how tough and conservative they are while using every smear imaginable against Farage and UKIP through their friends in the media.

Its blowing up in their face. Success for the new UKIP party in the UK sends a message to the RINO’s here in the US.

A third party is a viable option.

Good stuff! Having lived in the UK for almost a decade I know dirty politics is there and how biased (and downright anti-American) the media is. I hope UKIP does well!!!!!

This is one of the advantages of a multiparty system, in that it is clear the truly conservative UKIP has never been in power, thus retaining their status as an alternative to socialist legerdemain. Here, we suffer with a disastrous "Republican" legacy government that in fact consisted of RINO/Democrat majority, one that spent us into oblivion when we had the opportunity to finally dispense with the Federal debt within reach.

The American public believes that "conservatives" led us to ruin when in fact there has not been a truly Constitutionally conservative government in American history (with the possible exception of Coolidge). Best wishes for UKIP with my hopes that there are more than one Nigel Farage among them, and better.

Whooo-hooo!

I've seen (I think) every speech Nigel Farage has given in the last 10 years. Thannks, YouTube.

I've love it if more Freepers would watch them. UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party) ***IS*** the analogy to the TEA Party.

He's an eloquent speaker, and a sharp wit. Watch it, if only for that.

The character assassination techniques employed by some of the British media echo the same techniques employed against the TEA Party, conservatives, some republicans, and, most especially, Sarah Palin.

Definitely.

If the Scottish referendum is won by the independence campaign, Cameron and the Tories are absolutely finished and all hell will break lose politically.

Very interesting times ahead.

There seems to be a great deal more corruption in your system in that there is far more financial influence whereas that isn’t as big here, not that it isn’t still a very corrupt system in of itself.

It always makes me laugh how conservatism is put through the mud and vilified. I am a strong believer that it is historical fact that conservative values and practices actually made ours two of the finest nations on the earth with rich histories and plentiful success stories.

Thanks Sauron,

absolutely right, glad to hear you’ve been keeping your eye on him.

I have a huge amount of respect for him, he is a brilliant speaker and that is helped largely by the fact it is based on conviction. He is not PC and doesn’t follow an agenda, he just calls it as he sees it and still finds time for a pint or two or bottle of wine!

I suspect that part of it is that there are but 68,000 constituents per British MP compared to ten times that in Americans per Congressman. It means that mass media is the principle means of communication, which then necessitates buckets of money. Hopefully, the Internet will change that to a degree.

I LOVE this one where excoriates Rompuy. He was heavily fined later for it.

The Conservative Party is pretty much like the GOP. Formerly conservative, but not for a long, long time. David Cameron is somewhere to the left of many politicians in the Labour Party. Gay Marriage advocate, among other things.

I love Nigel Farage, he is a truly inspirational leader. He is going up against evil Statists that infect all governments of Europe and most of the media.

It will be a wonderful day for Liberty if Nigel does one day become PM.

Nigel truly stands with the people against the tyranny of the Socialist left.

Many in America admire Nigel and the UKIP party.

A third party is a viable option.

Except that the Federal Election Commission exists solely for the purpose to ensure it is not. Read the FECA[L] sometime.

Everything I've seen strongly suggests that "Red Ed" will be your *next* PM.If that happens can your country even *survive* 5 years of him? Will there be anything left for Farage to govern in 2020?

Trust me...those are *serious* questions I'm putting to you.

We survived 13 years of Blair and Brown.

I’ve no doubt that is a strong likelihood, but I’m not voting for the Conservative Party which has next to no conservative credentials left. What is the point, what good has it done me?
