Western powers led by US President Barack Obama have warning that Russia faces fresh sanctions over Ukraine, as Kiev accused Moscow of seeking to trigger a “third world war”.

The threat came amid heightened tensions on the ground as the Ukrainian military launched a new offensive to besiege the rebel-held city of Slavyansk and insurgents blew up an army helicopter with a rocket-propelled grenade.

At the entrance to Slavyansk, seven members of an observer misson from the Vienna-based Organissation for Security and Cooperation in Europe were detained and taken to the rebel-held security services building, sparking immediate international condemnation.

Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, the de facto mayor of the city that the group had a “Ukrainian spy”, a man believed to be a military escort for the OCSE observers.

And just maybe one day, Russia will decide that they want some of the Aleutian Islands back.

Obama doesn’t have the balls to goto war, much less stick in one.

At most he will do “Sanctions” which if you ask me do more harm to us than Russia and will be dropped soon enough anyway.

There are after all only 4 types of actions:
1: Diplomatic
Russia doesn’t rationally care, who outside of the socialite left does?
2: Economic
Does more harm to us than Russia because we need their oil more than they immediately need our money.
3: Military
A compete joke because Russia produces it’s own arms.
4: Sport:
Obama already squandered this card because Russians won’t bend over and take it from Sodomites. I say good for Russia, someone has to stand up for morality against Obama’s sick campaign of Sodomy.

The 5th kind “Sanctions on individuals” is soo pitiful its not even worth mentioning so its left off the list.

“And just maybe one day, Russia will decide that they want some of the Aleutian Islands back.”

Maybe and if an incompetent idiot like Obama is still in office, Alaska will have to point out some endangered wildlife species on the island just to get him to lift a finger in objection.

“Kiev wants us to fight WW III? Up yours Kiev. It’s up to us to decide when to go to war.”

I wouldn’t go that far, I’m sure Kiev wants the west to stand strong in their defense. But the fact is Kiev doesn’t have that kind of relationship with us, and even if they did, Obama couldn’t stand strong for anything but State slavery.

The Ukraine is still far too much of a free country for Obama to show that kind of passion in defending.

Nope. You were too quick to accuse someone with whom you disagree to be an Obama-supporter.

It couldn’t be any clearer that those who manipulated those protests in Kiev to turn violent are looking to destabilize Ukraine.

Yeah, because the Berkut kidnapping and torturing people, and then shooting protestors, had nothing to do with making the protests "turn violent."

Since we helped overthrow their legally elected government

Funny enough, the Interim government in Kyiv is the Ukrainian rada, which was democratically elected after the Russian-controlled president fled the country after even his own party turned on him for violating the Ukrainian constitution and brutalizing his own people.

they want us to defend their coup

You don't know what a coup is, so why should I worry about what you say "hell no" to?

Perhaps Obama could gather up his elites , professors, union thugs and such, to go over there and fight Russians in a war Obama admin started.

Not just destroying the military. He’s a muslim, remember, and will do whatever it takes to complete the destruction of the U.S.. His actions, so far, have been pretty insidious to the point of making someone think - maybe I didn’t see him do that, or maybe I misunderstood what he said, etc. There are enough fools on this earth that believe he wouldn’t do that, because he’s the messiah and the best thing since sliced bread. Or there’s the belief that not enough of “us” are able or willing to turn it around - so he’s untouchable and he knows it.

Just a matter of time.

I have no respect whatsoever for the military leaders of today. Not one has the guts to resign in protest. They’d rather sacrifice troops than sacrifice their careers.
