The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan confirmed Thursday that three American doctors were killed by an Afghan security guard who opened fire at a Kabul hospital.
The shooting at Cure International Hospital in the western part of the Afghan capital was the latest attack on foreign civilians in the city this year. Two others, including an American nurse, were wounded, according to Afghanistan's Health Ministry.
"With great sadness we confirm that three Americans were killed in the attack at CURE Hospital," said a statement posted on the Embassy's Twitter page. "No other information will be released at this time."
Afghanistan Minister of Health Soraya Dalil told the Associated Press that two of the dead were a visiting father and son. Dalil added that the other victim was a Cure International doctor who had worked for seven years in Kabul.

He was a very smart man and knew that we were just throwing lives away at this point for cultures that had their own ideas about right and wrong. I could not agree with your more. Even a fairly liberal guy I know agreed with me when I used the “crazy man” analogy. I told him if we had judicially used a couple of nukes back at the outset of this so-called “War on Terror,” (a term I have come to despise), we would be dealing with almost none of this and have saved billions of dollars. The rest of the world would have looked at us and said, “Hey, don’t #### with those Americans. They have nukes and are crasy enough to use them.” Mecca should still be smoldering.

One explanation, as your example of the 'Russian Mafia' growth on our shores and the reported long ago settlement of the 'defeated' Republican Guard in the Midwest makes possible is, now those in charge have a hardened cadre in place to help massage our POV into a more ready state of acceptance of even more change.

I will say what I always say in regard to Afghanistan:
It is time to leave. As soon as possible, because we have some work to do before we leave. What we need to do is destroy EVERYTHING. All the electric generating plants and substations. All of the bridges, dams and culverts. All water and wastewater treatment plants. Every school and hospital. Everything of value.
These people are 7th century barbarians, let them live like 7th century barbarians.
