APNewsBreak: US weighs curbing deportations

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Associated Press has learned that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh (Jay) Johnson is considering limiting deportations of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally but without serious criminal records. On President Barack Obama's orders, Johnson is conducting a politically charged review of U.S. deportation policy.

The potential change could shield tens of thousands of immigrants now removed each year solely because of repeated immigration violations, such as re-entering the country after being deported. The change would fall short of deportation curbs demanded by activists frustrated by congressional inaction on immigration legislation.

The possible move was confirmed by two people with knowledge of Johnson's review:

Upwards of 25,000,000 trespass into the country illegally, violent open borders, creating epic violence and fraud and fedgov wants to curb deportations?

Yet they post snipers around some guys ranch in the middle of no where, tasing and threatening his family over some grazing cows?

When do they start strafing the law abiding legitimate?

In the mid 1990s I harped on illegal immigration. Boy did I get push-back. Well, here we are folks. Enjoy...

It’s not only the illegal immigration these days. It’s the legal immigration that is swamping us too.

"...tens of thousands of immigrants now removed each year..." could easily equate to hundreds of thousands of illegal votes.

It was a turtle! Get the facts straight or it's off to the re-education camp for you.

“Laws will be enforced against some but not others. Will the people stand for it? “

This has always been true. There are so many laws that you and I are probably breaking 10 of them on a daily basis.

“It’s not only the illegal immigration these days. It’s the legal immigration that is swamping us too.”

Thank you for clearing that up. Like I have always said. There is no difference between the two except for a government permit.

It’s easier to get a license in Illinois if you’re an illegal. Citizenship is being cheapened.

The difference is that one is legitimate and the other isn’t.

That may seem like a very small difference, but one we get to debate and advocate for better policies. Will illegal immigration is just a free for all with no control whatsoever.

Right now considering the situation, we need a good 20 to 30 year moratorium on new immigrants. I will concede one aspect of this. If the person has actual strategic significance, then okay. If it’s just more refugees from some make believe crisis, no.

They’re just now announcing something they started in January 2009?

Someone the other day showed a report that proved exactly what you just said. They have stopped deporting illegals already unless serious laws were broken and people were watching that particular person.

Republicans need to learn to reach out to working class Americans and make sure they understand this is competition for entry level jobs for their kids.

Let’s disband Homeland Security. Apparently they won’t have a job to do so why pay them?

You know many of Obama’s “deportations” are people stopped at the border, that previous Presidents (even the open-borders freak Bush) didn’t apparently count as “deportations?”

It’s the GOP that wants cheap labor. The D&C wants voters.

This is EXACTLY the problem.

It is a huge. Massive problem.

Everyone in America is for more, and more immigration.

Nobody is just, for America anymore. I understand there are still people for America, but it seems we are no longer in control in either party.

The GOP needs to be taken back, from these people.

Our system needs to look out, for America.

Now.

deportations of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally but without serious criminal records.
___________________________________________

There are no “immigrants living in the U.S. illegally”

However there are millions of ILLEGAL ALIENS living in the U.S. illegally...

as for the illegal aliens and “serious criminal records” if you don’t think entering illegally into our sovereign country is a serious crime, what do you consider illegal ???

ONCE AGAIN--CONFIRMATION OF OBAMA'S RAISON D'ETRE and why he won't rest till every US law is eradicated:

It is an article of faith among "his people" that all US laws and all our rules and regs were created by evil, racist white men for the sole purpose of subjugating people of color, to demean them, and to keep them in poverty.

Clearly, Obama does not see himself as president of a thriving, productive America----an America of achievers, workers and doers.

Obama has a distaste for a thriving republic of freedom-loving citizens----in his befuddled mind he represents self-made victims, slackers, do-nothings, lay-a-beds, gutter snipes, welchers, weasels, con artists, felons, illegals, lawbreakers, and the rest of the losers and social misfits.

THE PAY-ME-I'M-A-VICTIM SCAM Obama's stupid "income inequality” whine is part and parcel of progressives' greed/envy/entitlement stupidity. More akin to a dirt-poor Third World satrap south of the border than a thriving republic ruled by laws and immutable market forces.

Obama can't seem to rise above his inane "community organizer" mentality. When he was crawling around the nabe preaching envy and greed----duping people on food stamps into believing they could payoff mortgages (ne'er do wells who taxpayers were forced to bail out).

He and Valerie lay awake nights---thinking up ways to flaunt US laws in the faces of patriotic American who recognize that America thrives on its sacrosanct rule of law.
