US Communists Shill for Russia Over Ukraine Submitted by Trevor on April 18, 2014 – 3:08 am EST

Brian Becker

Two groups have been most actively supporting “there is no such thing as an ex-Chekist,” Vladimir Putin’s naked aggression in the Ukraine.

They are Western communists, who hate the West and still see Russia as a force for socialism and anti-Americanism, and some naive Western “conservatives” like commentator Pat Buchanan and actor Steven Segal, who seem to believe that Comrade Putin is a closet Christian bent on defending Western values and saving Europe from the Islamic hordes. These naifs seem to have no idea that Mr. Putin’s KGB/FSB comrades have long manipulated those Islamic hordes against the West and have attacked our values at every opportunity for more than 90 years.

The communists must be laughing up their sleeves as they dupe self deluding “conservatives” like Buchanan and Segal into cheerleading their own destruction.

Here’s one such Western communist — Brian Becker of the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Interviewed on Kremlin propaganda channel RT (formerly Russia Today), Comrade Becker does a splendid job of obscuring the truth and spreading lies and disinformation on Moscow’s behalf.

Not sure if you can embed a video on FR, but the link will take you to Youtube.

It's worth noting that the Communist Party in the USA, and, indeed, all of them across the world, were known to be under the control of the Kremlin, specifically the KGB. It be foolish to think that just because we allegedly won the cold war that Russia would let go its control over its groups, especially when they are still aiding and supporting communist countries and groups across the world.

Even more disturbing is that our susceptibility to fall for it all has increased because we don’t like our President.

Thank you. A good read and solid post.

Too many forget that Putin is first, last, and always a KGB member of the communist party. He has dreams and visions and for some unknown reason there are those who just fall all over themselves to tout him as something different

well said.

I dislike the effort by some to say that you have to like Putin if you don’t like Obama. They are BOTH communists. I see no reason to like either one

Isn’t about liking either one of them. The neocons and the leftists want war with Russia, because they don’t treat their gays right.

Odd isn’t it? If the U.S. communists are shilling for Putin, doesn’t that mean that the Democrat party supports Putin?

Just don’t point it out to any one else. The whining becomes fierce.

I’ve been visiting some of the socialist/communist sites today, they sound like our libertarians here, luckily for them, Obama is largely libertarian on national defense issues and NATO.

Why is it that liberal outfits like the New York Times, the London Financial Times, the Economist, etc. are strongly urging the US to provide military and financial support to the current government in Kiev? (And are very critical of Obama for not doing enough?)

Would be very interested in opinions on this.

I would not be so sure that Putin wants to rebuild the old USSR, and certainly not regain control of central Europe.
I would not be surprised, however, if he wants to rebuild the old SSR nations as wards of Russia, similar to the territories of the US.
One can not blame Putin for gaining what he can while the USA drifts as a rudderless ship.

Obama sucks.

Dare I say it, Putin also sucks.

And Russia has no business annexing any part of Ukraine.

That's right, I said it.

Yep. Peeps are fooled by his stance on social issues. If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t homosexuality banned by the Soviets....but used as a tool in the West?

We support China. They’re still communist, aren’t they?

Communism is no longer ideologically socialist. The Communist Party Of Russia now accepts religion, nationalism and bourgeois democracy.

No - they ain’t Lenin’s Communist heirs.

Russia has been using United States opposition to them as proof that America is the great evil in the world. Putin and his people are actively promoting conspiracy theories wherein the United States is propping up fascist movements, and that we are equivalent to the Illuminati. Aleksandr Dugin, an occultist and "intellectual" with links to the Kremlin and who frequently appears on Russian state run TV, believes, or, at least, publicly claims, that the United States is a tool for the NWO to dominate the world. (He thinks Russia should dominate the world instead, and this based on a racial-tsarist ideology.)

All of this is setting us up for a nuclear strike at some point in the future. That is my honest opinion.

China is also a close ally to Russia, despite apparent splits in the past. Golitsyn, a KGB defector to the U.S., described it as theater for the West, inviting us to become closer to China even while we drifted from Russia. A sissors strategy, in other words, to exploit our gullibility.

We should fear the Chicoms as much as we should be wary of the Russians. They both will be participating in the nuclear bombardment, when and if it comes, and we'll be the target.
