Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year.
Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20.
“He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of the program, I received a call from some of the prayer breakfast organizers saying that the White House was upset and requesting that I call the president and apologize for offending him. I said that I did not think that he was offended and that I didn’t think that such a call was warranted.”

Isn’t that what absolute monarchs and dictators do? Demand apologies and abasement in response to being “offended”?
The often discussed ‘thin-skin’ of the President....I have doubts about. There is ‘thin-skin’....but I suspect it’s more from the WH chief of staff....than the President. Whoever called the organizer of the dinner and got him all peppy to call the doctor.....is probably the chief of staff.
They also wanted to be environmentally conscious and heat the oven with hell fire.

Offending, huh? The old race card wasn’t going to work this time, was it?
I haven’t seen an absolute monarch or dictator deviate from such behavior, so I’ll take it that they are synonymous with what you’re talking about.

It manifests the behavior of an arrogant criminal mind.
He thinks himself on par with God Himself and when reality thrusts itself into his failed arrogance, his criminal mind seeks to self-justify his arrogance, and then blames everybody else for thinking in any fashion other than his own.
Whenever somebody is “offended”, and then demands apology, they aren’t seeking apology, they are lusting for approbation of their arrogance.
Obama is used to slavish adoration he’s not used to facing his critics and being confident enough to endure challenges.
Obama should apologize for offending the American population.

What did Dr. Carson do? Tease Obama about his mom jeans?
Not necessarily. When the remarks are slander and public, and about individuals not in the public eye, we allow those offended parties recourse to the law for remedies that will stop up the offenders' mouths. AFIK.

Yes, please tell him, “FU and the horse you rode in on”. If that’s not enough of an apology, please follow that up with “F off and die”. Did you get all that? Thank you very much.
Good thing I wasn’t the one who “offended” thin skinned Mr. Mom Jeans. I would probably be in jail yet.
