Google has acquired drone maker Titan Aerospace, the Wall Street Journal reports. Titan is a New Mexico-based company that makes high-flying solar powered drones.

There's no word on the price Google paid, but Facebook had been in talks to acquire the company earlier this year for a reported $60 million. Presumably, Google paid more than that to keep it away from Facebook.

Google already bought 8 robotics companies, including the DARPA-funded contractor, Boston Dynamics.

We are actually living in a very interesting time with respect to technological progress. A lot is happening behind the scenes with a few major corporations (i.e. Google; Apple; Facebook; Amazon; Samsung) that will be changing our lives radically.

The next 25 years or so is going to be quite a ride.

Our fascist gobmt now has 1.5B bullets, that is, DHS...and, now the USPS just got a bunch of stuff...BLM has AK’s...G00gle, an extension of the regime has drones and robots...

Time to watch Roddy Piper again in, “They Live”...perhaps Animal Farm animated version...Part3 of Atlas couldn’t come out soon enough.

When batteries can be recharged in less than five min Drones could fly
indefinitely by recharging themselves. We're advancing, but is that a good thing..

On that train all graphite and glitter

Undersea by rail

Ninety minutes from New York to Paris

(More leisure time for artists everywhere)

A just machine to make big decisions

Programmed by fellows with compassion and vision

We'll be clean when their work is done

We'll be eternally free yes and eternally young

What a beautiful world this will be

What a glorious time to be free

Steely Dan..1982

Actually those lyrics were from Donald Fagen’s solo album “Nightfly”. One of the best albums ever made and I guess for all practical purposes, you could consider it a Steely Dan album.
