WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group is planning to release, through its liberal imprint Convergent Books, a manuscript titled God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships.
Is the Christian world about to suffer through another World Vision moment?
The book’s author, Matthew Vines, is a homosexual activist and Bible revisionist known for manipulating Christian terminology to advance the counter-Christian homosexualist agenda.
Despite his frequent use of a Christian-like lexicon, Vines surprisingly admits to running an apostate enterprise that he calls The Reformation Project. An unabashed denier of Biblical teaching on sexual morality, Vines has publicly acknowledged that his goal is to “reform church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity.” The book is scheduled to be published on April 22, 2014.

They can repent, remain celibate and be a Christian, or they can repent, ask God to relieve them of their unnatural attraction and enter into a monogamous marriage with a female, and be a Christian.

The Great Apostasy nears.
Gays, by their own choice and by result of their disease, live outside the boundaries of truth.
There is an absolute lack of Life, Light, and God in their life.
They live by the rule of their own selfishness.
Their spiritual, mental disease is a punishment from God himself for their refusal to obey God.
They made an idol of themselves.
In short, they lie about everything.
Few people will buy his premise too as he is clearly & openly a revisionist.
The one thing I can’t and won’t tolerate is the expectation that all of us “celebrate” homosexuality.
It’s one thing to know it happens, but it’s another entirely to ask the rest of us to join in phony pride parades, as in, “Isn’t this just the greatest thing ever, it’s time to celebrate!”
If people are gay, then whatever, do your thing but don’t ask us to celebrate it. And we really, really don’t want to hear about your bedroom activities.
Short of having the entire management & staff resign in protest, I’m not sure that Multnomah CAN do anything about the publishing of this book.
It appears that WaterBrook-Multnomah and Convergent Books are both owned by Random House.

I have emailed Multnomah at the the link you provided, asking them to clarify the situation.
My guess is that Random House is trying to make a buck by publishing on both sides of the issue. Alternately, they are trying to “sow discord among the brethren”.
I say to Random House and ALL its subsidiaries bearing the label “Christian Publishing”, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20
There is a more pertinent objection. The entire purpose of studying the Bible is to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind”. But the only people likely to buy this book are ones who already accept the proposition anyway, so the only purpose in writing it is to validate an opinion some already have and drive a wedge between them and the rest of us.
I thought Multnomah Bible College was a good place. It’s in Portland, which is Multnomah County. I guess there’s nothing to prevent an apostate from using the name of the county no matter if a good Bible college used it already. Too bad if so.
looks like multnomah and waterbrook press will be like World Vision retracting the statement and the people will say to late. Anyone know any employees of this business, if you do tell them to get out now.i know it is a third company that has the publishing rights but lets face it, no practicing christian should support this aberration.
