#4 what? The photos at that link are all labeled (small pixel, unfortunately). I didn’t watch the videos...
I mean the picture posted by mac_truck at post #4. Is it a AK-47 or AK-100?
Ah. I can’t tell at that resolution. There are probably clues, but I’m in my morning scurry and don’t see them. offhand...
"The problem is it looks very, very similar to what happened previously in the Crimea. So you know, if it looks like a horse and it walks like a horse, it's usually a horse - and not a zebra," said Frans Timmermans, foreign minister of the Netherlands.
I think this will help

If your interest is weapons in general, you should go to the home page of that link and search for any model weapon you can think of and see the extent of the database.
I don’t care for the source, but the database is robust.
Anyway...IMHO that pic you posted above earlier is of a Russian AK-103 ‘Export version’. It’s a shame there isn’t a higher res pic, but it is what it is...though it’s obvious that model has a different stock.
http://www.armoryblog.com/firearms/rifles/russian-ak-103-exports-to-libya/
This link has a pic of a 103 with the sling loop on the other side of one of the stocks
http://www.guns.com/2011/11/17/venezuela-licensed-to-make-ak-103s/
I believe the stock with the sling loop on the right is the folding stock and the one with the sling loop on the left is the fixed stock and, frankly, that’s most sensible. Unfortunately, that link explains the differences between the 74 and 103, but not the fixed/folding stocks pictured.
Thank you. My interest is more in interpreting the events correctly; this at least proves that the militants did not get their weapons from an Ukrainian armory.
2 things to note there:
The weapon appears well-worn, and
The 103 is a much-exported model (that small arms site link has reports on exports.
I didn’t look for nations’ names specifically, but in the reports I browsed I saw some names. Search for ak-100 or ak-103 and you’ll find the reports on exports. Maybe that will further your info.
No such thing as AK-100. There is the AK-100 series...101-108.
Yes. The minister was not fully informed, or preferred a simpler designation, speaking orally.
