The GM buyout saved the retirement annuities and medical insurance benefits of UAW members, as was intended. Other Obama “investments” were calculated and intended to reward major Democrat donors. The liabilities were made part of the insurmountable fiscal debt of the American people and their government, which that is being Fundamentally Transformed into anything but their servant.

If Tesla succeeds and changes the world— then all of this will be... well you figure.

Bill Gates says about 50% of the start ups in silicon valley are just silly. And that’s with private money.

imho federal dollars are best spent on basic research.

An easy claim to make when you’re in prototype. But to actually build a functional vehicle that is street legal and can be sold at that price point is another matter.

Frankly, if it were that easy, everybody would be doing it. This form factor has been tried and failed at least a dozen times.

I was showing an example of a privately-funded automotive business that is doing well without government subsidies.

People will actually believe that somebody can come along and do what a major industry does with millions of people and trillions of dollars better for a third the price because ... that person is just so much brighter and more committed than anybody who has come before.

If your first step in any process is to declare that everybody who came before you was an idiot and you rejecting everything about the past and making a completely fresh start, you’re going to get nonsense like this.

Another criminal element with taxpayer’s money. Smith Electric Vehicles should make vehicles that Americans would buy.
