The Russian government today claimed there are more than 100 American 'mercenaries' from a defense contracting company disguised as Ukrainian troops in the embattled former Soviet nation, a claim the American firm and top U.S. officials deny.

The latest news relesae from Greystone, as posted on a company blog, is from September 2012, titled "New business in Russia" and simply says the company "provided executive protection services in Russia." In April 2012, the company announced it had been awarded a similar contract in the Caucasus region of Eurasia.

One of the things they do IS provide executive protection services. That may be what they are doing there. OR, they may be U.S. surrogates. OR, they may have been hired by Ukraine.

Mr. Skittles has been poking the American people for years now and they’ve not rose up. Perhaps in his messianic thoughts, he thought he could just poke the Russian Bear with impunity like he has with the American people? Of course the Greystone will deny their men are there. That’s how they work...we’re not suppose to know who they are or where they are. They’d never admit where they have been or going to...and should they do so it’s a distraction.

Greystone was a name change for BlackStone, I think it was called. Remember they were in Iraq and the liberals had kissy fits about that.

At any rate...I see no reason not to believe they are there in some capacity....who's actually hired them is another story, but just as nations have their “special forces” I think also nations use whatever means is available to affect an outcome favorable to their agenda.
In Ukraine's case there are many armed and otherwise groups in Ukraine...homegrown and foreign... hooking up together as well as operating separately...and some of these have their own personal agendas.
Then you have the media spinsters and propaganda “naming” and “blaming”.....social networks infiltrated with personnel to affect conversations.....and then there's the US/EU and Russia ‘leadership’ and politicians all chiming in and pointing the finger.
No matter how any look at this now...the dust is still in the air and the ultimate outcome questionable to say the least. All being said is basically speculation at this point.
What we definitely know is the US cannot claim “vital Interest” in Ukraine.....it's involvement is an extension of EU’s Interests and Nato involvement.....and of course McCain's personal involvement to protect his personal interests in Ukraine. Likely other politicians as well.
