THAD COCHRAN ATTACKS TEA PARTY RIVAL CHRIS MCDANIEL FOR ATTENDING TEA PARTY EVENT
Breitbart ^ | April 4, 2014 | by MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY

Friday morning, Sen. Thad Cochran's (R-MS) campaign sent out a press release criticizing his GOP primary challenger, state senator Chris McDaniel, for planning to attend a major Tea Party rally this weekend.

"This Saturday, Kentucky will focus on the Final Four in Texas, Thad Cochran's campaign will focus on Mississippi...and Chris McDaniel will focus on...Kentucky?" the release began.

"I love how Orwellian they get," FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe told Breitbart News as part of an exclusive interview. Kibbe's group is hosting the event, titled "Free PAC Kentucky," which will feature remarks by Glenn Beck and is taking place Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's political back yard.

"If anybody's a Washington insider it's Thad Cochran," Kibbe said of the six-term, 76-year-old senior Senator from Mississippi.

For Kibbe, author of the new book Don't Hurt People and Don't Take Their Stuff, the notion that the Cochran campaign has any "grassroots" component is hysterical.

Sounds good to me. There would have to be billions on board and come out fast, strong and hard. Have my doubts that could happen, esp. with all 0bamie’s Hitler ways we’re all under now.

The left will be for term limits ONLY after the Republicans have won.

People have spouted that nonsense for 30 years and the net result is a more liberal GOP that ever...

“This clown is 76 years old. I mean, seriously. Why can’t politicians realize when it’s time for them to hang it up?”

First of all, Reagan was 73 when he ran against Mondale.

Second, the last republican senator from NM was Pete Domenici. I did not want him to retire as I thought we might lose that seat permanently. I did not want him to retire until I saw him in person and he made the right decision.

I also saw Ted Stevens before his election loss and he should have retired as he was having trouble walking.

I recently met Cochran. His mind is clear, he knows the issues, he is physically fit and able. There is no reason for him to retire.
