Following his visit with Pope Francis at the Vatican last week, President Obama has given a rosary that was blessed by the pontiff to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). On Tuesday, Pelosi discussed Obama’s gift to her with reporters after a luncheon with the president at the White House.
As the Washington Times reports, Pelosi said, “I was happy to receive a rosary blessed by Pope Francis. It means a great deal to me.”
Though Pelosi claims to be Catholic, she is an avid supporter of abortion and same-sex marriage, both of which conflict with the teachings of the Church.

If I understand this correctly, Obama gave a way a personal gift from the Pope, dishonoring the gift and insulting the giver (the insult is even greater considering who he gave it to). What a diplomat and statesman! /s

I sincerely doubt the Pope intended the gift for Nancy. The Rosary is a standard Papal Audience souvenir.
