Healthcare.gov, the troubled website set up to help Americans choose and enroll in a health care policy, crashed early Monday morning, on the final day to begin the process to apply for health insurance.
According to a CNBC story, the website crashed around 3:20 a.m. (ET) Monday. It was still down as of 7:40 a.m.
Monday is the deadline to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act -- commonly called Obamacare -- before facing a fine.
According to the White House, more than 6 million people have signed up since the enrollment period began on Oct. 1.
According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: "HealthCare.gov marketplace application and enrollment system is currently unavailable. The tech team is working now to bring the system online as soon as possible."

They’ll make sure it crashes periodically so they can keep the extensions going without legislation.
If we have to have government healthcare we should just subcontract with Canada.

According to a report I heard on FNC from that Amy Stoddard of the "The Hill," Nancy Pelosi either stated or tweeted that "10 million have signed up!"
Bless her heart, Nina Easton (is that her name?) took issue with Stoddard who said it "was possible".

That is a plus. They will try to control us but because of govt inefficiency the control will be contracted out to a minority owned firm.

It’s inordinately clear, the government will keep those borders wide open, as they have for the past 35+ years.

Apparently the state-run CT exchange crashed today also. They gave out waives and told people come back later when it works.
