EXCLUSIVE: The FBI is searching for a recent Army recruit believed to be planning a "Fort Hood-inspired jihad against U.S. soldiers," FoxNews.com has learned.
The alert, whose legitimacy was confirmed by military and law enforcement officials, stated that a man identified as Booker had told friends of his "intention to commit jihad." Booker, who is also known as Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, was recruited by the U.S. Army in Kansas City, Mo., in February 2014 and was scheduled to report for basic training on April 7. But he was discharged last week, apparently after law enforcement authorities learned of his alleged plan.
Both the FBI and the 902d Military Intelligence Group at Fort Leavenworth are involved in the hunt.

Here’s another unanswered question: with the current military draw-down, it’s a recruiter’s environment. Services can be much more picky about who they recruit, and the delay between signing the enlistment contract and shipping out to basic can be up to a year—or even longer. This guy was heading out next week, less than two months after signing his contract. Yes, you can accelerate the process by letting the service “choose your job” but in today’s environment, his departure for basic seems awfully fast.
This guy was either (a) willing to take any job the Army offered; (b) had a skill the service really wanted, or (c)blew away his ASVAB and/or had a college degree. The other possibility is the KC area recruiting battalion was behind quota and had to ship more recruits to catch up.
In any case, this one was a little too close for comfort.
military bases are kill zones.
Please let me run into this terrorist. I need some stress relief.
A little fox is hunting the hounds, for a play date. Cute stuff.
No doubt. Otherwise it makes no sense. The guy was recruited in February. He was scheduled to start basic training April 7. He was interviewed by FBI agents on March 20. Discharged. Then they just...lost him? Now they're releasing no information to the public, not even a picture of the guy?
Have found two of same name in Kansas.
Two found in Kansas not panning out but have since found two more. Still nothing in Kansas City, Mo.
only two am finding that maybe are POI is one in RI and the other in OH.
a third POI has popped up in NJ
not certain is POI but found this ... http://www.ask.com/pictures?q=Muhammad+Abdullah+Hassan+aka+Booker&page=1&qid=995ECD82985A6E00F649A18FBB64D796&qsrc=8&o=0&l=dir
Sounds like more potential "workplace violence."
In basic training we had a neo-Nazi who tried to join under false pretenses painting murals in our orderly room while he was waiting to be discharged. That was in 1978.
I mean "Diversity".
I’d say it was (a), and it was probably Infantry if that’s the case.
And he’ll get SSI/disability.
Thanks RR. TM alert indeed!
