The circumstances of this suit differ dramatically from those revealed in the recent Crowley case. Vice President of Administration and Finance Glenn Meeks alleges his firing occurred because he brought a number of, unseemly at best and possibly illegal at worst, Watson practices to the attention of former Chicago State Board of Trustees Gary Rozier on October 31, 2012 and told Rozier he (Meeks) would report his concerns to the Illinois Inspector General’s Office if the board did nothing. Ultimately, in February-March 2013, the board attempted to remove Watson from the presidency During this attempt, Meeks had a conversation with Governor Quinn in which he urged the governor to re-appoint the board members whose terms were expiring. The day after this conversation, Watson fired Meeks.

Democratic Governor Pat Quinn acquiesced in official misconduct committed by a political ally and ousted college trustees who were attempting to dismiss an unethical university president allied with Quinn and his political supporters. Less than two and half weeks ago, the same university president was hit with a jury verdict for $3 million dollars for the wrongful discharge of another university employee who tried to comply with the law.

“...Democratic Governor Pat Quinn...”

Maybe “Democrat” should be placed in the title, anytime we post out here. That way it shows up in search engines.

Just the way the media does anytime a GOP critter does something.

That is a good point. Whenever the media reluctantly reports upon a corrupt politician and the party label is omitted, you can bet the ranch that it is a Democrat. If a Republican dogcatcher does something wrong, it is always reported as if the Republican presidential nominee tainted by association with the nonentity and it is part of a national trend.

Thanks... I’m of the “one good turn deserves another” frame of mind here.

Whenever WE re-post an article or link out here about dems getting busted - and there are a LOT of them - we need to add “Democrat” in front of the name in the title line.

That way, anyone searching on it will come across at least ONE place where his party affil is mentioned.

Pass this on to others, and let’s make it happen...
