Obama Deplores Russia’s ‘Brute Force’ in Ukraine
NYT ^ | March 26, 2014 | By MICHAEL D. SHEAR and PETER BAKER

Posted on 03/26/2014 12:32:29 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

BRUSSELS — President Obama offered a sustained and forceful rejoinder against Russia on Wednesday, denouncing the “brute force” he said it has used to intimidate neighbors like Ukraine and vowing that the United States “will never waver” in standing up for its NATO allies against aggression by Moscow.

In a speech meant as a capstone to his trip to Europe in the midst of an East-West confrontation with Russia, Mr. Obama addressed Moscow’s justifications for its intervention in Ukraine point by point, dismissing them as “absurd” or unmerited. He even defended the Iraq war, which he had opposed as a senator, as a stark contrast to the way Russia has seized the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine.

“America and the world and Europe has an interest in a strong and responsible Russia, not a weak one,” Mr. Obama told an audience of leading figures here in the capital of the European Union. “But that does not mean that Russia can run roughshod over its neighbors. Just because Russia has a deep history with Ukraine does not mean it should be able to dictate Ukraine’s future. No amount of propaganda can make right something the world knows is wrong.”

~~~~~~
“Make no mistake: Neither the United States nor Europe has any interest in controlling Ukraine,” Mr. Obama said. “We have sent no troops there. What we want is for the Ukrainian people to make their own decisions, just like other free people around the world.”
~~~~~~

“Russia’s leadership is challenging truths that only a few weeks ago seemed self-evident, that in the 21st century the borders of Europe cannot be redrawn with force, that international law matters, that people and nations can make their own decisions about their future,” he said.

Reggie’s girl can huff and puff all he wants. Putin knows what he is and just doesn’t care. IF push come to shove, he’d literally make mince meat out of bambi and his gay pride rainbow military leaders.
America is, and will continue, to learn a hard lesson with this fool. All the rest of us can do is sit and wait till he’s gone or we’re nuked...whichever comes first.

Putin don’t like gays.....................

What makes you think that? Putin parades around naked on a horse. That type of homo behavior would fit right in at the Folsom street parade in San Fagcisco.

It’s a good thing we did not get involved in this fiasco!
It would have been a massive failure! 0 has enough blood on his hands!

Oh! What BRUTES, those Russians are. How absolutely 19th Century of them. Perhaps if all the meterosexuals in the world call them enough names, they will give it back.

This is the speech that got a rousing round of applause by exactly *one* person.
Now the Ukraine has just announced a FIFTY percent raise per gallon of gasoline to conform with the IMF demands being imposed on it.

The increase is for heating gas. It is heavily subsidized and the IMF doesn’t want their loan money going into that black hole.

More brute force is perpetrated by gang members during a typical Saturday night in Chicago than Vladimir Putin’s Russian army committed in the Ukraine during a week of annexing a part of that country.

At least Obama cries crocodile tears for the poor people of Ukraine, while doing nothing to help them. The murder victims of Chicago don’t even get that much sympathy, while Obama does nothing to help them either.

I wonder if this is the reason that Stinky Reid was trying to slip 68 billion US taxpayer dollars to the IMF. Was it to subsidize the gas prices in Ukraine to make them look better?

“If God seems far away, who moved?”

We both know the answer to that question. The USA has been “waxing iniquitous” for years. In a perverse and unrelated way Rev. Wright was right, the chickens have come home to roost. Isn’t diversity a wonder!

When you point a finger, three point at you.

Everybody thought they could coast on cultural faith (usually Christianity).

It’s only when things start going to hell that people start getting actually serious with God. God is not something that you only want in case of emergency, like your fire department.

I guess Obama really told Putin off. He must have said, “Oh you brute. Look what you did to Crimea”.

Putin to Obama. “Go away pajama sissy boy. I’ll do what I want to and you’ll like it”.

“God is not something that you only want in case of emergency, like your fire department.”

True, but He expects you to “help yourself” first, and we’re not doing that either.

Please explain “help yourself.”

If you mean in a worldly way, sorry. God says wrong.

I fear the brute force has not yet begun. Putin’s snatching of Crimea was pretty artful.

The more Obama expresses a wuss attack concerning this issue, the more likely Putin is to continue.

Well, the Left loves to think you can talk your enemies into acting peaceful.

Let’s see how that works out for them right now.

If it doesn’t work, then they should learn a VERY important lesson.

They won’t.

Apparently, no one ever informed Vladimir Putin that nations just do not act so barbarically in the twenty-first century. (Who knows, he may not stay up at night, worrying about the possibility that he might be in violation of international law.)

Just yesterday, Obama said they were a weak regional power.

I guess he doesn’t understand what he sees on the Teleprompter.
