NJ Dem Congressman: Bill Clinton Probably Right About U.S. Ceding Internet Authority
Breitbart ^ | March 25, 2014 | Kerry Pickett

Posted on 03/25/2014 5:31:34 AM PDT by RaceBannon

Congressman Bill Pascrell (D - NJ) appears to be siding with former President Bill Clinton and Republicans on Capitol Hill who are concerned about the administration's plans to cede U.S. oversight of the internet to an international body. "I haven’t come to any conclusion. I think it’s an interesting concept, but I don’t know if I’m supporting it. I’m not leaning in favor of it—right now," Pascrell told Breitbart News on Monday. According to recode.net, Clinton bucked the Obama administration and told an audience at a meeting sponsored by the Clinton Global Initiative last Friday, "A lot of people who have been trying to take this authority from the U.S. for the sole purpose of cracking down on Internet freedom and limiting it and having governments protect their backsides instead of empowering the people." The former president also said, "Whatever you think our country has done wrong, the United States has been by far the country most committed to keeping the Internet free and open and uninterrupted."

If its bad for America, Obama is for it.

If there was any justice, common sense or political courage left in the country, Obama would have been impeached long ago. No Republican president could have ever survived debacle after debacle like the clown prince does. The rest of the world must be amazed at our tolerance for this national disaster.

Obama doesn’t want to take another hit on infringing on the Constitution or spying on his citizens so he’s just going to probably hand it over to a foreign authority. I’m guessing one that will still give him access to all the goodies and probably managed by a George Soros shell company abroad and “beyond the reach” of U.S. O oversight (allegedly)

Bill is also wily, he knows that this action could hurt his and Hillary’s chances for his 3rd term.

Smart move for Hillary. Where’s the GOP on this issue. They’re missing a golden opportunity here and they can tie it into the domestic spying scandals.

For all that Bill does wrong, he has outstanding political instincts. He’s on the money here.

Thanks RaceBannon. A bit of spin of course, Republicans have opposed this from the beginning.

Bill Pascrell is a damn liar. He wont benefit supporting it
but he will benefit from the censorship after it’s done.
That’s what it’s all about anyway, censorship.

“Obama wants to give away the internet.”

That’s just what we see and know of. What has he given
away that we don’t know of? My guess is everything?

why is it Democratics love to give away the best of what America has?

Because Republicans did them. TR did the Canal. The Internet was privately done. Afghanistan and Iraq were successes for Bush and the hated Neocons ..... so Barky is trying to blow them both.

"Nice country you got here in America. It'd be a shame if something happened to it." -- Democratic politics.

“The rest of the world must be amazed at our tolerance for this national disaster.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Richard Nixon resigned even though some people claim to “remember” his impeachment. The main point is that he resigned because he believed that his own Republican party would vote to remove him. Things are different now, as long as the senate is controlled by the democrats there is no possibility that the senate would vote to remove Obama for any reason imaginable. To do so would require them to admit that the whole political correctness, global warming pile of garbage is the absurdity that it is, a warm steaming pile of feces. They have to stay on board this train until the inevitable crash because that is so much easier than admitting that they are all fools and liars.

Good assessment. The libs will support their guy until the inevitable implosion brings them down. And even then they will still blame Bush and the Republican “obstructionists” and all the obstacles they supposedly put in the way of the president’s agenda.

The amazing degree of tolerance for failure is also due in large part to national apathy, a point incidentally that O’Reilly touched on last night. People just don’t care.
