In unusually barbed criticism of a fellow prosecutor and fellow Democrat, Philadelphia's district attorney rebuked state Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane on Friday, saying she had needlessly killed a solid corruption investigation - and besmirched the prosecutors who built the case. --SNIP--
As for Kane's suggestion that the sting investigation may have been tainted by racism, Williams wrote: "I am offended. I have seen racism. I know what it looks like. This isn't it."
Of Thomas, Williams said, "Like me, he is a black man.. . . He has absolutely, unequivocally denied that he was asked to, or agreed to, engage in such reprehensible conduct. . . . I believe he is telling the truth."

Good to see a pushback to this travesty. The Governor should get involved.
If Williams is really as upset as he claims, he can call one for his own jurisdiction.

He is a pussy, he has done nothing to help this state grow, we have high ridiculous gasoline taxes and he let his party vote for them..now he has this ‘sting’ AG case on his slate, he will not get reelected..
The word in the Community I live in, is...HE IS TOAST, AND THIS IS A STRONG REPUBLICAN COMMUNITY.
At least no anti 2nd Amendment laws and fracking is still booming.
The dem is running on "I'm going to tax fracking" which means taxing the consumer.
Even if Williams is trying to troll his way into a future mayoral (or even statewide) bid, it’s still refreshing to hear Democrat corruption called out in a way that is impossible for the media to ignore.
Now that Williams is on board with it, MMFA etc. can’t “debunk” it in the usual manner so that the rest of the media knows that they may safely ridicule or ignore the story.
And it's also refreshing to see black Democrats told exactly how condescending it is to have racism explained to them by white leftist Democrats.
