“They will own all the intellectual property for this technology”

Is that factual or are you speculating?

“. But if the posting I’ve seen about MIT experiments are true”

What MIT experiments???????????
........................
Here’s a google search of mit lenr
http://bit.ly/1h41pLb

Read some of the links. You’ll see that Kevmo was right about the MIT test results. Its all early stage stuff of course. But it has moved away from pie in sky.

You are referring to Peter Hagelstein.

He was discredited and lost his MIT laboratory.

Now he is trying to pimp on his own. His research is not endorsed by MIT.

Fact - why else would they be doing this if they weren’t going to make a fortune licensing ip? Altruism? We had an MSR running in Oak Ridge for many years which did not perform any work like running turbines or delivering heat to turn coal into natural gas or liquefy bitumen. How do you chemically remove actinium from the soup for Alpha-immunotherapy - using an isotope with a short half life to attache to and irradiate cancerous growths. There are so many aspects to this technology that have not been solved, all of which will involve ideas. Like how to maintain piping at 1,300 deg C for extended periods at a time, etc, etc. It will be all Chinese ip because we are pussies.

Maybe you’re right. I don’t know. From the link I showed you I pulled this utube that was produced by an MIT student, explaining what has happened at classes at MIT.
http://www.lenrnews.eu/mit-cold-fusion/

Here a link to a conference at MIT that included a Dr Schwartz at MIT who does LENR work.
http://world.std.com/~mica/jeticcf10demo.html

Here is a pdf on MIT letterhead about LENR work.
http://bit.ly/1iMB7Bx
http://world.std.com/~mica/jeticcf10demo.html

Now I will assume that you are right because you are more passionate and therefor more knowledgeable about the subject which means that because you are more passionate you are more knowledgeable about the subject.

all I’m doing is pulling links and pointing out that a lot of people seem to saying something is going on.

This stuff, if true should go up the information food chain. The only thing that anyone cares about right now on this stuff is this...is excess heat created.

If none is created than this story will die.

The fact is however, that over 25 years this story has not died. But only seems to get more pronounced.

We’ll see.

I prefer the LFTR story. Because that story is much further up the information food chain. There have been favorable articles about LFTR in the center right forbes and the center left economist. Big labs and small are quietly gearing up for what imho will be a very public high stakes race to be the first to produce an LFTR reactor.

If LENR ever comes to anything it will be more than a decade away—maybe two.

"...LENR is still extremely speculative—while LFTR is within a year or two of causing a very public world wide competition to between private and state institutions to be the first to develop a working prototype."

Only to hard-core skeptics. And any institutions that start with LFTR will be cut off at the knees when LENR finds its "sweet spot". Which is NOT all that remote. At the latest MIT/Hagelstein colloquium, Mitchell Swartz has revealed the latest status of his line of Nanor reactors...COP = 100. 1 milliwatt in, 1 watt out.

Actually, the definitive MIT work was done by the department of physics back in the late 1980’s. They replicated Pons and Fleischmann’s work successfully (i.e. produce excess heat but no neutron/gammas, etc), then committed science fraud by changing the calorimetric data in their published report to show a negative result.

This was discovered and investigated by Eugene Mallove, who resigned from MIT in protest.

Whoops....misplaced a decimal point:

“....100th of a watt input, making 1 watt output....”

direct quote from the short report.

“Maybe you’re right. I don’t know. From the link I showed you I pulled this utube that was produced by an MIT student, explaining what has happened at classes at MIT.”

That is not a regular MIT course. It is a one week (15 total hours) Independent Activities Program course given between semesters. Basically you just walk in and out.

“things are happening faster than you surmise. the way to understand it is to understand that constantly accelerating speeds of computers shrink the time frames in which future events will happen. In the last two decades that shrinking of time frames has accelerated dramatically.”

Perhaps so, but computers can’t make lithium, phosphorous, silver, copper, tantalum, gallium, cobalt, and other materials in finite supply. Failing asteroid mining and planet-scale migration, I’d invest in landfill land now; it’s dirt cheap, so to speak. I can’t believe what people once threw (and are still throwing) away.

” At the latest MIT/Hagelstein colloquium,”

You mean that five day short course where five dummies showed up?

..............
There is a long distance between experimental results which show excess heat and something that actually works productively to produce power.

This, you understand, does not reflect well on you.

That’s ok. As I told Kevmo the LENR story needs to move up the information food chain. If it does I’ll post it. Better yet. You post it.

It does not reflect well on the people scammed.

First you have to get to something that produces excess heat.

And you know for 6 sigma certain that no one has ever produced excess heat—that all who have claimed to have done so are liars.... because....because

I know for 6 sigma certain that they have never produced an independently verified excess heat.
