I’m just telling what I think is going to happen. My opinion doesn’t make it more or less likely. It’s just what I expect to see.
There is another angle here. Polling indicates that Bevin would soundly beat Grimes. Whereas McConnell is looking to lose or maybe, if lucky, squeak by.
If McConnell cares so much about a Senate majority for the GOP he should consider pulling out and actively supporting Bevin. No, he would rather Grimes be elected than Bevin. I believe that is what he really thinks.
I will also point out that there is absolutely no evidence that McConnell would be any tougher in dealing with the Dems as a majority leader than he is as a minority leader. I will even suggest that a Republican majority is of *no* value unless he is replaced by a real leader with a backbone. But if he is reelected and the R get a majority, he will be the leader. Exercise in futility.

And the GOP Establishment can’t advance an agenda WITH a majority. We had the White House, House of Representatives and the Senate for over 5 years during George W’s Presidency. And, the national debt skyrocketed, we still have little unborn babies being killed and we have same-sex marriage. What they hell did the GOP Establishment do other than get us into Iraq and Afghanistan and cause thousands of young Americans to die in vain. BULLSHIT!!!

Your not answering the question. The process created by the constitution requires a majority in order to advance an agenda. A bill must past through the congress and it must be signed by the President. How are you going to gain that majority without the help of the GOP?
FYI: We had a slim majority for 4 (not 5 years) during the Bush Presidency. A slim majority indicates the liberals had enough power to block certain legislation. It’s all about the votes.

As posted it’s not good. I am my extended family will be voting for Bevin in the primary. If Snitch wins the primary he’s on his own in the general from what I hear of most conservatives. He along with the gope has made it clear they have utter contempt for conservatives and his voting record and back stabbing deals behind the scenes make it clear he is a total weasel sellout.
We will not be voting for Grimes as she is the usual democrat idiot trotted out but voting for Snitch and towing the “we are all in one big tent together, party loyalty—party loyalty!...” line is not going to cut it this time around.

I will be voting Bevin in the Primary, and when the fix is in and McConnell is in the "general" - I will vote for a Conservative, understanding that in post-Constitutional/post-coup America - my vote is meaningless anyway.
It is clear to anyone with a shred of honest integrity and principles that voting for a Ruling Class Judenrat for the Marxofascists is worse than casting a vote for a Democrat. They continue to stab Conservatives and the Constitution in the back, so why the hell should we support such treason?
The democrats controlled the senate for almost half of the Bush Presidency and controlled the House for the last two years. Too many democrats were the problem.
That point is irrelevant to the question of “How can we move forward?” You can yell and scream all you want but you will be powerless until conservatives can generate enough votes to advance an agenda. How do you propose we do that? You have no plan except to complaints about “yesterday”.

I could almost buy that, even if I disagreed with the strategy, except that I have come to believe that McConnell, Boehner and the GOPe do not want to overturn Obamacare or his massive spending or any of his assaults on the American people. His attacks on the tea party and misinformation tell me that he is just another Arlen Spector/Jim Jeffords. In fact, if Bevin beats him, I would not be surprised if he, like Crist and Spector, switches sides. Given that, having him in charge is worse than not having him at all. Would you want 52 Republicans to vote, say, Mark Pryor as leader? If not, then you don’t want Mitchey-boy either.
