DONETSK, Ukraine - Pro-Russian demonstrators in eastern Ukraine smashed their way into public buildings and burned Ukrainian-language books on Sunday in further protests following two deadly clashes in the region last week.
Protests, some several thousand strong, spread to Russian-speaking southern districts as Ukraine's Crimean peninsula, under the control of the Russian military for two weeks, voted in a referendum on joining Russia.
In Donetsk, the heart of the Donbass coalfield, where a pro-Ukrainian activist died in clashes on Thursday, 5,000 protesters roamed from a central square to several public buildings, smashing doors and windows as they went.

Russia is waiting for an invitation.
And no one can say they weren’t warned.
So what is Mr. 0 going to do about, slither underneath a rock?
This won’t be the first time the Obagitators miscalculated. They thought they could use the Olympics to agitate and install the Opuppet in UKraine for the NWO. The guy is scum, but he is our scum instead of Putin scum.
Think the same as Egypt. Obagitiatators picked the Brotherhood. They lost that one too. But they are still trying.
Ukraine today; Europe tomorrow. The thug Putin is eagerly bringing back the Soviet Union and our boy president and the cowards of the EU do nothing.
I bet the West will impose bargain-basement sanctions against Russia. Its a price Moscow has already calculated it must pay for annexing Crimea.
It will hurt but the reward is still a satisfying one.
Problem is, our “boy” president isn’t working for the interests of the American people. He works for the Global community.
Why do people miss that? He says it all the time.
