OK, let me expand on the CP thing.
Lets say that you are a radical with more power than anyone short of God and a fawning/drooling support base lacking in any ethics at all...and you want to rebuild the planet in your utopian image, getting rid of all that which you hate.

You start by instilling hopelessness and confusion in all people. You strip them of hope and make them question the sanity of everyone and everything leading to their giving up said hope.

Since your base will follow you to hell and repeat your insanity as gospel (and they are literally half the population), you easily get the moderate wing of the half that isn’t on board since they do not want to make waves or offend, then steamroll the other half.

Apply the very same thing to foreign policy with the benefit that comes with America’s buying power/resources and DEBT.

“Play along or we either stop lending or start defaulting.”

There’s Obama politics in a post.

Cloward Piven is right...

Ya know if Putin’s as clever as some say that he is he will settle for the huge gain of Crimea ...and as a comment stated...”..and let the world see that he could take Mr. Obama’s nappies and wrap them around Kerry’s throat!”

Before Putin is done, the UN, the EU and NATO as power blocs will be ended. And he will not have to go to war to do it.

The inherent instability of each of them just needs the right stimulus. Such as refusing to live up to their commitments. And they are doing exactly that across the board. Their greed dooms them.

How refreshing!

Great post and pretty much sums it up in a nut shell!

Also depicts most despots and their control of people.

I don’t think I’m any smarter than the average bear, I just like the idea of seeing things as they are without the spin people attach. In short, Reductionism.

Much of any situation is total crap. But remove the spin and overthinking and you likely have the truth. Reagan was a big proponent of simplicity and it worked fine for him. ;)

It was not until I and others here covered Egypts Revolution, here on FR, that I saw so vividly just how far our government leaders, and the media would lower themselves...and to what end they would go. It was one thing to suspect, another thing altogether to observe and see.

But you are right about ‘removing the spin’ and over thinking...amazing how clear things become. And this understanding all players are in it to win...regardless if you agree with any position or not.

Actually it's very hard taking a position when they're all corrupt!

I feel like the world stage is like the bar in Star Wars...

Yup.

One of the biggest problem America has is that it’s people either never learned their history or they are so far removed from it that it’s ‘make believe’...no different than a fairy tale or a TV show.

They might have read about the Revolutionary war, but they have not clue 1 as to what a sacrifice is. I mean lets face it. People of 2012 refused to vote for candidates based on the fact that a loss would mean losing a couple grand of income via taxes and such. It was too large a sacrifice.

contrast that to the founders who lost property, families and their lives in some cases based on their belief in freedom. I mean let that sink in lurkers. The cost of a big screen TV is the price they put on their freedom.

We are doomed. Literally doomed because those were supposedly conservative right wingers...the very people who supposedly hold history and the founders in highest regard. Until that pathetic situation changes, It is not at all surprising that those same people will armchair QB the Russia thing solely watching and buying the propaganda that comes from their $2000 ‘freedom’.

Without ever having an independent thought of their own based on a history they do not ‘really’ believe in.

Wow, great post & deep thought.

People need to start prioritizing, but too many have their faces glued to entertainment in their little video screens.
