To: Alas Babylon!

Why in the heck are King, McCain and Durben on there again? Don’t the people at the networks know there are congresscritters better informed—or not as poorly informed—and more articulate—or less inarticulate—on the issues than these?

Oh, they KNOW. The perennials are on because they fit the AGENDA.

The DNC Media uses the Sunday shows to set up their political version of the news for the rest of the week.

Why in the heck are King, McCain and Durben on there again?

It is like the ole attorney's trick -- never put a witness on the stand unless you know what he/she is going to say.

These talkies know the kinds of responses they will get from these names -- no real drama and not much surprising. After all, [I concluded a long time ago] these talkies are just fillers to get the networks passed Sunday morning to the afternoon sports venues. These programs used to set the agenda for the early part of the following week -- before the 24-hour news channels and Internet.
