THE IRANIAN teenager travelling on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 with a stolen passport had posted a chilling message to Facebook days before the jet disappeared.

Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdad had escaped Iran via Malaysia with big plans to travel onto Europe to begin a new life.

In his last post on March 4, the 19-year-old revealed that he was "feeling excited" about what lay ahead with pictures on his Facebook page clearly showing him in Kuala Lumpur.

Mehrdad had boarded MH370 bound for Beijing on Saturday and from there planned to travel to Germany. But he never made it to Beijing.

,.... Not amazingly chilling. In fact, outside of the hijacking contest, this isn’t weird at all. Still, he does look a little creepy

Feeling Excited

I'd be excited too if I had 72 virgins waiting for me.

Might well be nothing. Every tourist in Kuala Lumpur takes this exact picture. The towers are the biggest landmark in town. Kind of like posing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

I’m am going to go out on a limb again and say the following.

This aircraft is going to be used in a major terrorist op against the US before the November 2014 elections in order to save the Dems’ butts.

The idea of going from Iran to China and being excited about it is nuts. I think his post is a red herring.

I'd almost interpret it that he was tricked into carrying explosive luggage which was triggered remotely, by somebody who hated him for defecting from Iran, and wanted to kill him (and other birds) with one stone.

Granted, that's far-fetched, but alternative stories don't make sense, either.

This is a foolish article.

There is nothing chilling about the picture or his words.

I saw that. Iran is a hop, skip and a jump from Germany (The base of Atta) and this kid is coming from Malaysia. There's just something wrong with this picture or so it seems.

What's the security like for this airline?

It is really hard to get a good picture of Petronus Towers and yourself in the picture.

Why is expressing excitement about a long trip to a potentially new home “chilling?”

It’s been years since terrorists have blown up a plane — which suggests that terrorist organizations have been unable to recruit suicidal maniacs both willing to do such deeds and intelligent enough not to get caught in mid-flight with bombs in their shoes and underwear.

So maybe terrorist leaders have decided to try something new — such as bribing a pilot to secretly transport a passenger-filled plane to an obscure location. If the plane’s detection devices could be successfully disabled, the terrorists would then with up with a perfectly good plane at their disposal, a frightened world worried about hundreds of missing passengers, and a proven formula for carrying out similar operations in the future.

Is that so far-fetched?
