EXCLUSIVE: FBI blocked in corruption probe involving Sens. Reid, Lee

FBI agents working alongside Utah state prosecutors in a wide-ranging corruption investigation have uncovered accusations of wrongdoing by two of the U.S. Senate’s most prominent figures — Majority Leader Harry Reid and rising Republican Sen. Mike Lee — but the Justice Department has thwarted their bid to launch a full federal investigation.

I have a feeling that very soon the media is going to get tired of all of the government’s BS and start doing some actual journalism.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think there’s something seriously evil going on in DC and that corruption is so widespread as to be incurable.

Disappointed to hear Lee is involved in this probe.

Unless he's been thrown in to dilute the charges against Mr Cleanface the Democrat.

That's what I'm thinking. As soon as I saw his name, I thought, this is probably a smear campaign against Mike Lee and Harry Reid was throwin in to gain attention.

It's probably the dirty tactics of the Dems, trying their best to denigrate a Tea Party favorite, and if their plan goes right, Harry Reid will have nothing whatsoever to do, with any wrong doing...it'll all be on Mike Lee.

Problem is, a) folks aren't believing them much nowadays and b) good luck findind dirt on Mike Lee...he's pretty clean and I'd be super surprised if anything they throw at him, sticks.

Oh, how I loathe these evil beings, who seem to run rampant in our government. May God provide a shield about Mike Lee, let the truth be uncovered for what it is, and let Harry Reid be the one they reveal as the scamperous lizard, he is.

The media has typically looked around for a republican they could throw in to a scandal to avoid having to report negatively on the democrat only.

But we already know Harry Reid has been associated with mob figures and shady deals in Nevada for years now.

It's a win - win for Reid and McConnell.

Reid will skate, he always does, but they are trying to sully the water as to who the new Majority Leader will be in the Senate.

Remember, they always broadcast who and what they fear the most by trying to Destroy them.

They must feel Cruz and Rand will run for POTUS and Mike will throw in his hat for Majority Leader and make Boenher's and Obama's political lives a nightmare, they can't have someone like Palin ( which Mike is ) that will put dents in their 2 card Monte' Shell Game and wake up the Sheeple that both Parties have been playin' on us...

Lets look at this headline, who has the power to block an investigation? Lee a tea party guy? Dingy Harry? That tells me its a Reid scandal with Lee as the tail for the media to wag.

Have no fear that Holder’s DOJ won’t lay a hand on REid, but Lee is toast.

Lee is in here as a bargaining chip. He lost on a home purchase. I think that is endemic of the entire housing industry circa the mid 2000s. If he overstated his assets or income, he would be guilty of a crime of filing a false statement and that should be pretty direct to prove. I don’t know why it would take the government more than 7 days to figure that one out. Meanwhile, Reid is a crook, was, is and always will be. Nevada is what it is, gambing and prostitution, period. What do you think you get as a politician there, a minister?
