Intrepid Fox News reporter Gretchen Carlson outed an illiterate latino who is suing his life-saviors---first responders who jeopardized their own lives to save his life. Roy Ortiz was trapped by flood waters in his late-model car, saved by first responders who he now suing.

At the close of Carlson's Fox News segment, she asked his lawyer several times to confirm whether or not Ortiz is an illegal. His attorney asserted this had no bearing on his lawsuit.

Carlson persevered but the lawyer parroted the same response over and over again. Gretchen finished the interview by revealing to her audience that the attorney admitted during the break - that his client was undocumented and is on US soil illegally---then Fox did a quick dissolve as the lawyer erupted in anger.

The opportunistic Ortiz is suing for what? Not saving his life fast enough? For an injury? He's on TV---and is healthy enough to sue.

LEGAL REALITY CHECK You can't sue for an adverse result that "might" have happened under different circumstances but didn't happen under the ones that actually transpired.

Finally, why is an illegal w/ suspicious credentials---perhaps multiple identities sucking at the public teat--- inviting this kind of attention to himself w/ a high-profile lawsuit. Course Ortiz has nothing to worry about from the vote-crazed Obama---forget about deporting him.

Carlson is far more likely to be sued for some cooked-up transgression of Ortiz's "civil rights"---a sure-fire money maker.
