After Annexing Crimea, Russian Troops Are Piling Up By The East Ukraine Border
Zero Hedge ^ | 12 March 2014 | Tyler Durden

Despite the relentless protests of Kiev, and of course the G7 group of world's most indebted nations, in the past two weeks Vladimir Putin once again succeeded in outplaying the west and annexed the Crimea peninsula without firing a single shot (granted there is still potential for material situational deterioration, one which would involve military participation by NATO whose outcome is not exactly clear). The market has "priced in" as much, with prevailing consensus now dictating that Russia will preserve its foothold in the Crimea however without additional attempts for annexation: certainly Poland is hoping and praying as much.

However, as the following photos taken on the Russian side of East Ukraine, next to Belgorod, the Russian airborne troops ("VDV") are now piling up, only not in Crimea, which needs no further Russian military presence, but ostensibly to prepare for the next part of the annexation: that of Russian-speaking east Ukraine.

On the clip and pictures below, one can see Russian troops on the move near the border with Ukraine in the Belgorod Oblast, about 20 kilometers from the border with Ukraine near Kharkiv:

Good thing we have a tough guy in the White House to keep those rambunctious Russkies in check.

It's so reassuring we have Obama, Kerry, Valerie Jarrett, etc., handling this matter. /s

Or should I say "Obama, Kerry, Valerie Jarrett quietly watching with glee as Putin resurrects and expands his Tyranny in Russia the New Soviet Union (NSU)"

It really is eerily reminiscent of the past, when another determined autocrat annexed territories without firing a shot, succeeding simply because the "western democracies" were supine, led by craven moral cowards.

Apparently Soros, Hillary, Obama, and the CIA stirred this mess up, never considering the fact that Obama was too much of a coward to back it up.

Putin was not going to stand by while one faction took the country away from the others. Now he’s secured his warm water port, which has been at risk since Russia made a deal with NATO many years ago.

I’m a little worried that he may decide that it’s a good time to take back Russia’s Bread Basket. Although I’m sure Jean Kerri and our Communist, gay-loving Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel have that one all figured out—not.

Agreed. One wonders how far Putin is planning to go. And how far he will be allowed to go. Which country is next?

Maybe if we sent the Russian Soldiers some EBT Cards they’d go home and vote Democrat.

Combine this mess with the mess they've left behind in the Middle East, and it's a great distraction for China to get a little rowdy - especially with their economy tanking...

Don't think it's a coincidence Kharkov is the home of Ukraine's T-84 tank factory.

Russian will take Ukraine and several other eastern European countries without any action from the EU or the US. Weak, weak, weak...Putin’s great empire will rise again and Russia will work with the Chinese to dump the dollar for another currency.

Chaos will ensue; WWIII is around the corner. “Winter is coming” (Game of Thrones)

Belgorod is also part of the 1943 Kursk battlefield.

At Kursk, the biggest tank battle was on the south side of the Kursk "bulge" (the Russian salient into German lines left by the previous winter's campaigning) and involved over 700 tanks on either side. Losses on both sides were about equal, but the Russians won because they had more reserves .... a deeper bench ....

Then some Russian artillerymen caught three German infantry divisions redeploying away from the FEBA by road, and killed all three divisions in about 20 minutes. It was one of the landmark art'y battles of WW II.

Soviet Generals Vatutin and Golikov were the heroes of the hour.
