New York City Mayor de Blasio has a Twisted need to Punish the Rich
American Thinker ^ | 03/08/2014 | David Lawrence

Posted on 03/08/2014 10:47:17 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Mayor de Blasio is not interested in children’s getting a better education. If he were, he would endorse the charter schools and allow Cuomo to fund them. But he couldn't care less about quality education – otherwise, why turn against the charter schools that are educating minorities better than any of the other schools?

De Blasio’s whole desire is to tax the rich. He has some twisted need to punish them. He has the communist hatred of wealth.

He is a man who emotionally identified with the communists when he traveled to Cuba, Russia, and Nicaragua. He is a big supporter of the most failed, repressive system of government in history. Maybe he should go to a charter school and get a political education himself. Maybe he should stop paving our highway to hell with his naïve best intentions. Maybe he should turn from his utopian wishes and face the pragmatics of reality.

De Blasio has such a hatred for free enterprise that he would rather see minority children get miserable educations than support their superior charter school educations through state funding without a tax hike. He would rather lower us all to the common denominator than raise our children up to their potentials. He does not support excellence. He believes in the spreading fog of mediocrity.

Taxes, taxes, taxes. All Big Bill wants to do is tax the rich. Screw the quality of education. Get the rich back for being rich.

De Blasio is in bed with the unions and a former lesbian wife. It’s time he stopped looking out for himself and his eccentricities and thought about helping the children and the common good.

There are peaks and valleys in an educational system. De Blasio wants to press the students down into a valley of mediocrity.

If the wealth HOLDERS and the wealth PRODUCERS had an iota of decency, they would acomadate the sincere wishes of New York’s bright, young, newly elected mayor.
Rather than smugly flaunt their wealth, they should understand that they are not wanted in New York any longer and move to a more welcoming location. I’m sure that with a sincere effort, the wealth could, possibly, find somewhere to find a welcoming haven.
New York would become a true haven. Vastly reduced traffic problems would greatly improve air quality in the city. The subways would be markedly less crowded as there would no long be “rush hours.” Imagine the reduction in crime as there would be very few people left who had anything worth the effort to steal. The wonder of it is truly something to be hoped for.

Y’know, it’s probably because he grew up in poverty. /s

You know what I love about this guy? He is el primo example of a Marxist - He says he is going to help the poor and what does he do the second he is elected? He sticks it right up their ass. Destroys the taxi industry in one fell swoop, closes down charter schools, now he is going after tourism starting with horse and buggy rides. Brilliant. So glad I moved the hell out of that hell hole, that city truly is the capital of morons. They put their hands in the fire and get burned, and they do it again and again and again thinking “well this time will be better duuuh!”

The rich ARE moving out, in droves. I read about it last week. That city is completely and utterly effed big time. Not only is duh Blasio aka Warren Wilhelm pretty much putting an end to the scraps of money the poor already make working crap jobs, he’s also chasing the rich out. So what is going to happen is you’re going to have all these people out of work and no money for any social programs/wekfare/food stamps = Bankruptcy ala Detroit. That city signed its death warrant when they elected that a-hole.

He has the communist hatred of wealth.

Repeat over and over and over. Then remind yourself that virtually ALL of the Democrat party follow the same religion.

A lot of rich libs live in NY. If he wants to punish them, then he should have at it. It’s not my problem.

Give the man credit - he wants to punish the poor and middle class too!

I can’t believe the citizens of NYC were stupid enough to vote this whole slate of radical leftists in to power.

Or perhaps I should say NOT vote them in to power, because my understanding is that only about 25% of those registered voted.

In any event, there are very few with a right to complain.

RE: I can’t believe the citizens of NYC were stupid enough to vote this whole slate of radical leftists in to power.

To be a little bit more accurate, MOST ELIGIBLE NYC VOTERS (roughly 80%) did not bother to vote last November.

So, De Blasio got 70% of the votes of the 20% who bothered to show up.

De Blasio wants to press the students down into a valley of mediocrity.

Actually, he doesn't want to press students down into mediocrity; that wouldn't be good enough for him. He wants to indoctrinate them into a statist way of thinking so that they will obey.

In a nutshell, DeBlasio's policy mindset mimics closely what happened in Detroit over the last 40-50 years. The same results are likely to follow in New York, but he figures he'll be long gone from the political scene when the decadence reaches that level.

Mayor DePendsio is just out to create a permanent voter base of government handout dependents, thus guaranteeing him (and other like him) perpetual governance. Hey, its worked for others, Castro, Chavez, the Kim thugocrasy in NK, not to mention earlier, bigger, and more spectacular examples, that have already failed.

You have to look at the demographics of who is doing the voting. Not all of them are American citizens and many others are foreign born with no education in American history and values.

I have the bowl of popcorn in my lap and am looking forward to a decade of decline for a bunch of rich libs. Good for them. And, the NYC GOP crowd is no better. These are the folks who fund the Bush/Romney wing of the Democrat Party.
