Atheists Seek to Stop 9/11 Museum From Displaying WTC Cross
A judge last year tossed out a lawsuit on the cross, rejecting the arguments of American Atheists, which sued the National September 11 Memorial & Museum's operators in 2011 on constitutional grounds, contending that the prominent display of the cross constitutes an endorsement of Christianity, diminishing the contributions of non-Christian rescuers.
The 17-foot-tall steel beam was found by rescue workers two days after the terror attacks. It is scheduled to be displayed among 1,000 artifacts...
toss the atheists out! they lost once already! do they really want to go to the SUpreme Court with this?
Satan is not an atheist, but he works with them.
These are the worst whiners in America. Worse than CAIR
Keeping this important historical item out of the display would be absolute insanity. It what was it was and it is what it is. Wishing it were not so does not make it not so. These arrogant narcissists think they can rewrite history so that it seems that people don’t believe in God. Nothing could be further from the truth and the truth is still an esteemed value of patriotic Americans. These infantile people love to play pretend - they pretend the can stop people from expressing their belief in God. They want to rewrite history and alter the historical facts. Far more Americans would be offended at the attack on religion than those who would be offended to see an artifact from the bombed World Trade Center site. In fact, the cross brings comfort. Atheists do not.
I’m an atheist, and I’m damned sick and tired of my fellow atheists acting like this. I have this overwhelming desire to smack them upside the head and tell them to get a life.
This is a private museum, isn’t it? Those attention-seeking commies can pound sand.
It was a remarkable "find" that some people found inspirational.
And it got lots of airplay on the networks at the time.
It's a historical artifact.
Atheists need to get a life.
” I have this overwhelming desire to smack them upside the head and tell them to get a life.”

Whiners and the perpetually offended are like gnats. They seem to be everywhere these days.
.
True, and I’m getting tired of it. There’s a cross on public land? BFD! Get used to it!
The Atheist “conservative” group that was disinivited to CPAC showed up anyway and sure enough they were there to pimp atheism.
>>Conservative atheist group shows up at CPAC despite yanked sponsorship<<
Silverman, who was with a couple more members of his group, told us he did indeed feel unwelcome by CPAC organizers but that he has received a surprising amount of positive support from attendees. We still wanted to spread the message, he told us. That message, he said, is for conservatives to stop tying Christianity (prayer in schools) to other conservative principles (such as gun rights). He said doing that will broaden conservatisms appeal.
Two pieces of I beam, riveted at 90 degrees to each other causes the atheists to have severe stress reactions. They need to get a life!
Perhaps they should do like the monks in THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING and get a boy to lead them around by the hand because they keep their eyes closed tightly so they might not be offended by what they see.
>> my fellow atheists
Fellows of what?
These people aren’t athiests. They’re attention whores with too much time on their hands. Don’t lump yourself in that lot :-).
uggh atheists are such ***holes
Will atheists deny us inalienable (God given) rights while they’re at it?
An atheist is a walking pile of as-yet living compost randomly assembled in a meaningless series of unconnected events in a chaotic universe, whose word is law in the public square.
Christians exist in the population in large numbers. Tolerance, as understood by the Founders, means we accept differences, not that we pretend they don't exist, or worse, have the government arbitrarily force religion from public view. THAT is a violation of both free exercise and establishment clauses. A real religion isn't permitted to be seen, and the government fights against a real religion and tries to impose a different view.
