Having tried the Bersa UC Pro in .40, that little DA/SA pistol is the limit of recoil my old hands can handle. I cannot imagine a .45 in such a small pistol. I have one in 9mm and that’s a smooth operation 13 + 1/

40S&W has a lot more snappy recoil than 45 ACP

I’m fairly sure I’ve seen them for less at the gun show.

Ye old 1911 officers model is not bad at all.
But they are heavy.
That takes some of the recoil out.

The Rock ISland carry piece in 1911 framish is a nice piece. I’ve thought about acquiring one, nut I don’t really need another carry piece. I have a 1911 Norinco I keep threatening to make into a .460 Rowland. Probably never get around to that either.

Don’t even mess with that Norinco.
They are rare here now.

The RIA 1911’s work just great.
They were really great when they were $350.
They go Bang bang bang and they hit what you aim at.

Last week when I worked for the FFL, we had one come thru special order on the night trucks, for around $850, when I entered it’s SKU into the system. Very nice piece. Shouldn’t the SEAL Model have the Neptune Trident on it?

“I shoot off of my back covered deck out to a 100 yard target set-up for long guns and a 50 foot target set-up for handguns.”

My range is into a hill off my front area outside my kitchen. Great for either handguns or longguns. I do not hav e to beware of snow cover.

I’d agree with that. ID is required to buy one, but that could mean any USN personnel.

It belongs in a wood/glass wall case, as a collector's piece. <>
