Ukraine: Russian Flag Raised In Donetsk, Odessa, Kharkov
In Serbia ^

Posted on 03/02/2014 7:42:07 AM PST by kronos77

At the moment the square in front of the regional administration building is packed with people holding Russian flags.

The protesters elected Pavel Gubarev, the commander of the Donbass People’s Militia, as the Donetsk region’s new Governor.

For his part, he called on the demonstrators to set up a tent camp in the square in front of the regional administration.

Thousands of Odessa residents have gathered under Russian and Soviet flags in the Kulikovo Field, the Interfax-Ukraine reports Saturday.

The demonstration organizers state there are some 20,000 people, the police says they have counted about 5,000 participants.

The purpose of the meeting is to elect an empowered and authorized representative to speak with the authorities on behalf of the Odessa residents.

In Kharkov, the largest city in eastern Ukraine, pro-Russian protesters managed to break through the cordon of Maidan supporters and captured the government building. The storming was accompanied by clashes and shooting, RBC daily reports.

The Russians are now waiting for some “incidents” that will be used as a pretext for Russian troops to come in to “protect ethnic Russians”.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch Obama proclaims “DON’T CALL MY BLUFF!”.

They have lost 50% of the country - even without Russian military intervention.
Tragedy is, that they, Kiev puppets will try some armed action, and ... war is there...

Not Odessa. Look at the map you posted under your statement.

The Kiev Ukrainian nationalists made a big mistake by attacking the Russophones. This drove away many people who were Russian speakers but would probably have been for a more Western-oriented Ukraine - but suddenly felt that they weren’t welcome there anymore and in fact were going to become targets of Ukrainian nationalism.

Kiev puppets will try some armed action, and ... war is there...

I hope not, their value to the EU is greatly reduced. The EU won't war on their own territory to steal farmland, they wanted the rich east, and port south. Russia will protect those like in Georgia, and they have organized and chosen Russia, who is already there.

That, and Obama is a backstabbing coward. It's a dim future for the Kiev crowd.

Never forget that these “people” are the descendants of those who were relocated there after the legitimate residents were murdered by Russia.

There are some who claim the American "people" are descendants of those who were relocated here after the legitimate residents were murdered by imperialist Europeans.

Crimea is Russia’s access to the Black Sea - and Russia has controlled it for at least 3 and a half centuries.

No way they will give it up now.

"All in the Eastern part of the country. "

Not Odessa which is west of the Dnieper River.

Perfect staging point for the support of the 2000 Russian troops already in Moldova (Transnistria).

Essentially making "Ukraine" a land-locked country with no prospects.

"Correct, Putin wants all the Black Sea coast line."

All the way to the Romanian border....inclusive of Moldova, which still wants to be part of Mother Russia.
