A doughnut shop chain won't be selling doughnuts at a new Massachusetts location.
Quincy's licensing board this week approved a plan for Honey Dew Donuts to open a shop inside the city's new $30 million YMCA.
Sara Trubiano, YMCA spokeswoman tells The Patriot Ledger that the elimination of the sweet treat fit with the the Y's focus on physical fitness.
“It’s definitely tailored to the healthy lifestyle the Y supports,” she said.

The YMCA is lucky.
I had one of this company’s donuts some years ago. It was awful.
I renamed the place Honey Don’t.

Once again, it’s a private business and private property. If they want to ban annoying women on cell phones or coffee or anything else it’s their business.
About seven years ago I was in a YMCA parking lot while my son was inside. Smoking a cigarette in the parking lot and a bespectacled and tubby middle aged balding man walked up and told me to put it out.
It took every fiber of my being not to commit assault and battery and end up in Municipal Court. Somehow I did it. I put it out and walked away.
Trust in God he has a sense of humor. He blessed human beings with incredible brains. I can sit in the YMCA locker room after a workout and use my e-cigarette. *
*As long as Nobody sees you. They can’t smell it.
But I digress, they can’t smell the offending donuts either. What were we talking about again?
Oh yeah, social engineering and cultural norms.
Are people taking notice that the North-Eastern states are becoming more progressive than the west coast states?
Soon, we will be forced to hope that not only California slips into the ocean but the north-eastern states too.
All we can wish for is that the liberals “Chicken little” forecast will actually occur on rising ocean levels.

Doughnuts are not unhealthy. TOO MANY doughnuts are unhealthy!
