A major Chinese government news service used a racist slur to describe the departing American ambassador in a mean-spirited editorial on Friday that drew widespread public condemnation in China. The article — which called Gary Locke a "rotten banana," a guide dog for the blind, and a plague — reflected Chinese nationalists' acute loathing toward the first Chinese-American to have been Washington's top envoy to Beijing. But whether it would draw diplomatic protests was unclear; attempts to contact officials at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing got no response Friday.

Well, there's a thoroughly racist term ... right up there with "oreo". It's mildly amusing to watch "minorities" exhibit extreme racial bigotry.
I hate to think who would be offended by rotten apple.
Unlike our Presidents, who are white or black on the outside, but Chinese, Mexican and/or muslim on the inside.
So I wonder what name they’ll call Locke’s successor, Max Baucus, who’s fleeing all the way to China to get away from his Obamacare law.
There could not be a more deserving country . . . with the possible exception of Saudi Arabia.

Not so different than Jimbo Carter and the Iranian regime . . . and they loathed him.
I still fondly recall Walter Cronkite in tears at the split screen with Reagan's swearing in on the left and the hostage airplane on the Tehran tarmac on the right. The Iranians wouldn't allow it to take off until Reagan was sworn in. And all Walter could do was blubber about Carter doing all the work to free the hostages and Reagan getting the credit.
Reagan, class act that he was, asked Carter to be first on the plane to greet the hostages when it arrived on American soil.
