Kerry Kennedy acquitted of drugged driving in New York WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Kerry Kennedy was acquitted Friday of drugged driving in a July 2012 incident in which she accidentally took a sleeping pill and then sideswiped a truck in a wild highway drive she said she didn't remember.
Kennedy hugged and clasped hands with her lawyers as a six-person jury cleared her of driving while impaired, a misdemeanor. It had carried the potential for up to a year in jail, though that would be unlikely for a first-time offender.

So, am I supposed to believe that she wasn't driving?
Or that she wasn't impaired?
Next time I get arrested for something, I am going to demand to be tried as a Kennedy

If you’re a Kennedy, you can literally get away with murder.
No kidding, i was in the nyc area a few weeks ago and was amazed at the poor road conditions. Government should take care of basic services like roads and bridges but in NY they are diverting all those funds to social programs.
Get ready for a 100 billion dollar bond issue (tax) to fix everything they are supposed to do but don’t as part of the basic expected government services.
Here in Minnesota, they divert it to choo choo trains and bike paths and other ‘transit’ stuff. Anything but roads.
Of course I hope she gets right with God before leaving this mortal coil, and it is fortunate that she did not cause anything worse than property damage.
But it could “possibly” be an example of how God gives the stubbornly lost good things while they are here, not because they are choosing to give glory to Him for it, but because that’s all they will ever get.
I knew this would happen as soon as she mentioned her dead father during her testimony. I’m surprised she didn’t dig up RFK and JFK and drag their corpses into the courtroom.
She admitted taking the meds and driving, but her excuse is that she did that by mistake. So, because she had an excuse, and because she is a Kennedy, she is not responsible for her actions. Got it.............
A second chance to kill somebody! She’s gonna have to work on it more this time. After all, she has the natural talent.
We should all pray that if we or our love ones are on trial that they give us as much leniency. I hate prosecuting attorneys that go after little people on petty things.
SHe didn’t hurt anyone but herself. I think it’s rotton that it ended up in a trial.

Who DID’T see that coming. I’m simply surprised it made it that far.
She was accidentally driving while being accidentally impaired... and accidently caused an accident.

The jury bought that she did it all on accident. That she didn’t have a drug problem.
Everyone knows it’s BS but that’s the beauty of being a democrat. You can easily make yourself believe whatever you want.
A Kennedy cant be responsible for their stpidity.
