Mayor de Blasio brought down the hammer Thursday on three charter schools operated by his nemesis Eva Moskowitz, leaving hundreds of kids without classrooms this fall.
This has to be the saddest day for the Success Academys children, family, teachers, school leaders, Moskowitz said after meeting with stunned charter parents in Harlem.
Right now, our kids are being evicted. Evicted out of their school. Its wrong and we need an explanation. Youre going to have to ask Mayor de Blasio what the motivations are for a decision that will hurt so many children now and, frankly, forever.

He’d have to move well to the right to be a Socialist. The GOP Establishment is Socialist. Kaiser Wilhelm is a Stalinist-Totalitarian.
“The goal of socialism is communism”
It’s part of their deception
The one chance most of those kids ever will have will be taken from them should De Blasio succed in destroying a school system that actually works.
Why not just make it a private school since the parents and this “principal” seems to like the school. I will never regret sending my kids to Catholic School .writing that check every month is one of the most satisfying things that I do. I have four kids so you can just imagine how much the check is, but you do it for the love of your children. I think these parents could do the same as they seem to really like the school.
Meanwhile, “School of No” Principal Marcella Sills has been “reassigned” while the reports of her conduct are “investigated.”
Why this is great!
The teachers union and state buerocrats all agree that this was the right thing to do. For the children of course. (Sarc)

I suspect the school gets some of the $20k or so NY spends on each pupil. All of the school’s expenses are predicated on the socialist state they live in. Without that huge influx they can’t exist in NY.

Well that is outrageous. I pay 7,500 each for two high school kids, 3300 for the 7th grader and 3500 for the Kindergardener. This is outrageous that they spend 20 grand on each kid for an education that is not even adequate. Make it like a Catholic School where the parents can afford the tuition.
Couldn’t believe all the mothers being interviewed about this morning sobbing that they had voted for this freak. Smart enough to put their kids in private school but too stupid to look at who this man is. Sad, sad, sad.
LIV lose again.
It’s not that the parents voted this way.
It’s that THEY ALL voted communist—and then they cry.
I suppose there is no connection in their minds between their vote, and their children’s education.
Stupidity is it’s own punishment.
Kaiser Wilhelm is Commissar Wilhelm.
A lot of those parents likely voted for this commie. There are consequences for actions.
Charter schools are still public schools insofar as their funding is concerned; they get an attendance-based allocation from the State for every warm butt that sits in a desk daily.
Once you possess that piece of information you recognize other school district-instigated “community” initiatives geared toward capturing as much of that money as possible: daytime curfew ordinances aimed at getting truants into the classrooms are a prime example. You also have a new awareness of why non-public educational options are so often regarded as a threat to institutions of public education.
As the saying goes, “Follow the money.”
This is not a good sign. Elect a few more like him elsewhere and they can inflict real damage.
