Mexican president 'indignant' at U.S. deportations
reuters.com ^ | February 27, 2014 | Julia Symmes Cobb

Posted on 02/27/2014 1:30:07 PM PST by Tailgunner Joe

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said he is "indignant" at the United States' deportation of Mexican migrants and described U.S. lawmakers as demonstrating a "lack of conscience" in failing to pass immigration reform.

In a television interview aired late on Wednesday Pena Nieto said he and U.S. President Barack Obama discussed the issue during their meeting at a North American leaders' summit held last week in Mexico.

His emboldened comments to Mexico's Univision channel followed days after his administration announced it had captured Mexico's most wanted man, drug lord Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman.

Pena Nieto has said any extradition of Guzman to the United States is likely to take time, underscoring the fact the drug lord still has outstanding time to serve in Mexico after a daring 2001 jail break, reportedly in a laundry cart.

"Yes it makes me indignant, and it makes Mexicans indignant," Pena Nieto said in the interview, when asked whether deportations angered him.

"There's a lack of conscience, something which shouldn't only alert and worry Mexicans, it should also worry the American government and they should take up the issue," said Pena Nieto.

Pena Nieto added that he sees a willingness on the part of the Obama administration to change immigration laws, and that reform which provides a path to citizenship should "have the backing and aid of the various political forces" in the United States.

He isn’t. It’s why he’s pissed they are being sent back. They leave there, off the welfare rolls, out of the prisons and away from the elite Mexicans who are tired of ‘doing things for them with nothing in return’. That’s why.

"He should be ashamed that his countrymen are migrating to the U.S.."

If we had a real president his reply to the Mexican president would be "I am indignant that the Mexican political class has created a nation so crappy, poor, and violent that the inmates are trying to escape!"

Essentially, this clown is saying that it would be inhumane to send illegals back to the country of which he is in charge. What does that say about his country and his leadership?

Try to imagine a US president actively encouraging Americans to cross illegally into Canada, and then criticizing the Canadian government for deporting them.

How great would it be if we could export our poorest 10% to Canada and let Canada take care of them, while they send money back to the US? Our economy would be thriving.

A wealthy country like Mexico should focus on building an economic infrastructure that would encourage people to stay there instead of risking their lives to escape. I guess the ruling class in Mexico doesn't want too many indigenous Mexicans actually living in Mexico.

If we sealed the border for a month, there would be a revolution in Mexico.

It’s a “lack of conscience” that you run a third world style government they feel the need to escape. It’s nothing but a corrupt oligarchy ran mostly by Euro-descendants that are racist toward the natives.

Then there is the massive corruption of your entire police state and let’s not forget the drug cartels that you do nothing about.

SHOVE IT!

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Secure and Seal up the Border with all resources and then, we would not have to kowtow to Mexico for getting a most wanted man like Chapo Guzman. Good they got him but we could do better by having an ultra-secured border, that would keepout anyone illegally crossing as well.
