I am soooo glad to see the Tea Party gearing up for 2014. It is so much more important then 2016. We need that Senate and of course keep the House. Sure Obama will break out the new VETO pen, but we still need both chambers.

Five years ago on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, CNBC’s Rick Santelli bellowed what would later become his most famous rant ever.

“All you capitalists that want to show up to Lake Michigan, I’m going to start organizing,” he screamed from the CME on February 19, 2009. It was time, Santelli said, for another Tea Party.

“We’re thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July!”

And with that, a new movement was born. Santelli would later call it the “best five minutes of my life.”

His infamous segment — in response to a minor homeowner bailout — is now credited with helping launch the Tea Party tidal wave that began during the early years of the Obama administration and ended up “shellacking” the Democrats in the 2010 midterms.

As usual, my thread gets pulled from Breaking. I do not what could be more Breaking than a live event of a gathering of folks that are espousing what FR is all about.

I realize there was not much participation, but, sadly that is the norm here lately. Posting activity is way down.

I see Rino’s. Reagan was not radical at all. Had he been Pelosi etc all would never have been around to come to power.
