A long time ago, there was a race in Russia between a Russian car (Volga??) and a Ford. The Ford beat the pants off the Russian car. And how did Pravda (Snopes) report it? The newspaper ran the headline "Volga finishes Second in Internaltional Race while American Ford Finishes Second-to-Last." Snopes would do the same thing.
