I will sum up with the Cliff Notes version — They need money to fund govt programs and thus “WE” need to reduce military costs and increase taxes on the “rich”. Thats all this is. Move along ....

SecDef Hagel just opened his remarks with thanks to an underling named Hale for creating this budget and wishing him a happy and well deserved retirement which Hale is beginning forthwith.

Translation: the buck stops with a Pentagon retiree.

John Bolton and Ollie North are slamming this budget on Fox right now.

Hagel is a useful deflection for the kenyan. He was told by the WH what top line budget number to hit and he did it.

The GOP should escalate this and demand the obama defend this personally or his budget is DOA in the House. Just say the county needs to hear this directly from the POTUS. A slash and burn of the DOD is a national security issue and totally unacceptable.

the thing they are not mentioning is that in order to get to all these force reduction levels they will be dumping vast numbers of combat experienced NCO’s , whose grade makes them more costly to maintain , and they will instead fill the ranks with as many low pay new troops as they can find , leaving their leadership to the most politically accommodating O administration sycophants that still wish to remain in the down-sized Mil . The loss of these combat experienced NCO’s will be one of the most devastating factors of all this . They have seen it coming for awhile not and here it is . Will we all put up with this ?

The Obama/Hagel doctrine — Cut, run, and gut. Taking money from warriors to distribute to welfare. Warriors to welfare.

The Obama/Hagel doctrine in future history books will go something like this; This doctrine was ultimately responsible for the decline and end to US military superiority in the 21st Century.

During this period several nations which had ended the 20th Century seeking nuclear weapons had achieved their goal in the last year of the Obama administration due in large part to failed policies in the affected regions.

Accredited to the Obama/Hagel doctrine which states, “the United States will withdraw at the beginning of all engagements to prevent US involvement with terrorist nations around the world, therefore keeping America safe, at no point will the US engage on the behalf of any ally for any reason, the administration is committed to running away from any and all danger in the real world faster than any limp wristed pants wetter in the history of the world.”

Furthermore the Obama/Hagel doctrine states that “because Obama himself is popular and therefore it is assumed that the Obama/Hagel doctrine is also popular it shall not be misconstrued when the Iranian’s and North Korean’s bomb the US and/or any of America’s allies that our enemies, which we don’t have because Obama is president, but if someone were to attack the US or its allies its only because George W. Bush was president, because as you all know, the world loves Obama, and the US doesn’t have any enemies. Also, the Obama/Hagel doctrine makes it unfair to be compared to Chamberlain’s appeasement towards Germany, because it would just not be fair.”

So, Obama/Hagel in summary — Limp wristed pants wetter’s taking money from warriors and re-distributing it to welfare...because there are no enemies.

You can see where this is going. Higher ranked officers toting the ideological line along with affirmative action middle management and a bunch of lower rank low information enlisted personnel.

In other words, a military that will not hesitate to kill fellow Americans. Add drones.

It’s getting scary.

Barry is 'softening the field' for a foreign military incusion or to WEAKEN the U.S. military ahead of a domestic uprising where his agencies will be used to repel American citizens. He knows the U.S. military cannot be counted on to resist American citizens battling against Fascist leadership, but HIS AGENCIES CAN BE COUNTED ON TO REPEL THE CITIZENRY.

Agencies such as the DHS are buying billions of rounds of ammo but we need to cut U.S. military budget to save money? What does THAT tell you?

Barry's 'Civilian National Security Force'

Indeed. Patriots will be carefully culled. Lists will be selectively targeted. This is a purge under the guise of budget cuts. Still for a higher purpose as I’ve stated in my previous post.

Yeah you want to fight wars in Texas, Maine, Florida, California, etc? That’s really smart.

Just a little info for the isolationist idiots who SUPPORT what leftists like Hagel and Obama are about to do to us and our allies.

We don’t maintain our armed forces to be the “world policeman”. Plenty happens in this world we do zip about.

We maintain our armed forces worldwide to do little things like keep sea lanes open so we can trade with allies, rather than be choked off here at home. Also to secure our vital national interests.

All of you who actually want to only defend “our borders” you actually would let every single country on Earth fall to enemies???

Canada? Mexico? Israel? England? Germany? Japan?

Get real please.

Hold on! You won’t find too many in Nebraska who wanted UpChuck to be SecDef, especially among the many military retirees in the state. The Omaha World Herald, the local GOPe and our governor pushed his appointment and got a good bit of pushback. In the editorials the big support for him was from democrats. Besides, none of us had a say in the choice. We were just glad that when it became apparent that we wouldn’t reelect him he stayed in D.C. instead of coming back here.

They all can defend themselves. We have to borrow money from China to defend the world. England is now in the tank after centuries of war. We spent the first half of last century in Europe, the second half in the Pacific. Now we are into the NE and Africa with hints of So America. Another war is existential to us. China is breathing down our necks. I’m for protecting America. Don’t worry about the non-interventionists. It’s the interventionists that spell the doom for this country. And that’s getting real.

They will all be competing for jobs, too, when they’re getting harder and harder to find. Meanwhile, a weakened US military should make the Chinese very happy.

Canada? Mexico? Israel? England? Germany? Japan?

Those countries can defend themselves. Japan in particular should be weaned off US military support, which amounts to welfarism at the national level. If Japan develops nuclear weapons, so much the better. Keep Beijing guessing; introduce some creative tension there, and new opportunities for the US to exert leverage by playing the "good cop," for example.

We may wind up with only 1/10'th of our needed fighting force, but they will all be gay, lesbian, transgender, pansexual, intersexual, etc... which will more than make up for the reduction in head count!

They can’t all defend themselves. We are borrowing money for welfare programs far more than for defense.

If you think the budget will shrink because Hagel shrinks defense, that is a pipe dream. These guys are blowing the budget through the roof.

Certainly you don’t think Chuck Hagel and Barack Obama are crafting a wise defense policy for the United States? They will only invite war.

If we are going to continue playing policeman and “creating democracies”in areas of the world that don’t want them, then it is time those other countries you mentioned start compensating us and paying a significant portion of our tab, even though no amount of money will cover those killed or wounded in action..

Why are we paying foreign aid too to other countries when we are forced to cut our forces? When push comes to shove the USA is the only country I care about.
