Lots of questions...

When does Yulia get out?

What role will Klitschko have?

What will be the new Crimean policy?

What will be done about bureaucratic corruption (a culture of bribes) and the tax police?

What bone will be tossed to Eastern Ukraine over the language issue?

I read Yulia was supposed to be released on March 1, but would think given the new and fast changing environment it could be sooner. They are giving tours, showing the inside of his house in Dontesk now, in a orderly way to news people and others. A garage full of cars and boats. They are pulling out boxes of papers as well. Looks like he left with everything still there. This is going to be interesting and fluid for some time. Corruption will take years and likely not fully be absent for a long time. Crimea.. that will be interesting. There are reports that The Voice of America Moscow is reporting that the Russian Duma Foreign Affairs Committee head Aleskei Pushkov is in Kharkiv. So much going on.. I wish Ukraine the best.

Yanukovych is the friend of Ukrainian oligarchs. Yanukovych tried to copy Vlad Putin’s system of governance.

Hopefully he has been driven out for good

Please keep us updated on this. All we know over here is that Canada beat the USA in hockey and a Russian gal won the ice skating gold medal.

Ukraine is bankrupt and the putchists from the poor West who overthrew the elected government with violence cannot run an already bankrupt economy. They will try to loot the wealthier East but this will not be allowed to happen.

The freely elected “tyrant” who will be replaced by the equally corrupt person who lost the last free elections. How long before Belorussians and Russians are killed there? I suspect not long.

President Denies Resignation, Calls Events A ‘Coup’

In a televised interview, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich denied reports of his impending resignation resign and called the events in the Ukrainian parliament on Feb. 22 a “coup,” HromadskeTV reported. Yanukovich called the day’s events in Ukraine’s parliament, which appointed a new prime minister, ordered the release of jailed opposition leader Yulia Timoshenko and is reportedly expected to impeach the president, amounted to a coup. He compared the situation to Nazi Germany and said he is doing his best to prevent further bloodshed. Meanwhile, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.N. Sec. Gen. Ban Ki Moon, said there has not been a coup and the new prime minister was elected legally. The president has been given 24 hours to sign the 2004 constitution into law, Sikorski said.

NOW would be the time for the US and the EU to help Ukraine with tons of aid and support to bolster this country and bring it into the EU to avoid Putin again being the only one to send them money! the EU and US have stood idly by while Russia sent in their money and goons.

We don’t need to send troops but we do have to support Yulia with economic aid adn public support. Of course our idiot Community Organizer will just do Nothing no doubt.
