I wouldn’t be so sure. To assert that the right to self defense is legitimate inside but not outside of one’s house would deny the fundamental civil right to homeless people, renters, and travellers. I don’t think they can make that case and remain legitimate.

to say you can’t defend yourself from people outside your home is crazy. there’s a lot more dangerous people outside your home. to say ‘then don’t leave your house’ deprives one of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and turns home into prison.

Actually, I think this is a brilliant point. The libs are always caterwauling about the rights of the homeless. They have a right to health care, shelter, and the right to vote. Since they don't have a home, how can they be denied the right to self defense that home owners have?
