A federal judge Thursday declared Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional. Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring tweeted the news.

See, in the judges eye it is the outcome not how you get to it. Based in law, naw, just reach into my dilusional memory banks and pick up some phrase I recall hearing in the past and if I cannot find one in our documents, there is probably something out there in some other country which will suffice.
This entire government needs to be replaced IMO. Start over. Artivle V anyone?

I just want to thank all my fellow Virginian Republicans(?) that opted to stay home because they didn’t like the haircuts of the R candidates or ‘wasted’ their vote on a Libertarian— that the ‘National Libertarians were saying WTF?’— and it turns out ‘backed’ by a Texas Liberal...
We lost the main seat by less than the ‘wasted’ votes and the AG by a handful (before the recount???)
Some saw McAwful may be HRC’s choice for VP (he was their ‘darling’ when wee willie was prez)but I believe us ‘R/Conservatives’ are going to pay dearly in the next couple of years....
For one thing, Herring shouldn’t be AG. Obenshain threw in the towel as do all Republicans. Two, this state voted “one man, one woman” by over 60%. Not that any of that matters.

Rulings such as this one should be counted as impeachable offenses and these judges should be removed.
Good God! I had the privilege of working for a federal judge. This opinion is written like a 5th grader’s book review. It’s really troubling.
It occurs to me that if elected officials can arbitrarily ignore the will of the people and refuse to enforce bans on pervert “marriage,” then the people are free to reject the declarations of those elected officials and can legitimately refuse to recognize homo “marriage.”
Thus begins the breakdown of the Rule of Law and the dissolution of the social contract.

I get sick to my stomach every time I pick up the Richmond Times-Dispatch. I hope McDonnell realizes what a mess he made. I can’t believe he was so broke he had to sell out the state for a few dollars.

Instead of the R AG opposing this Herring loves it. They cant get any legislation through so they know only things decided by the courts will be what they get. Im pretty sure Herring did lose and the election was stolen. But it shouldnt have been that close.
Regardless, the equality point is not valid.
If you base the ruling on equality then a pedophile has an equal right to marry a child, one man an three women have an equal right to marry. A Father has an equal right to marry his daughter or his son and on an on. This is NOT about equal rights.
